My wife arrived on the document intake day (October 22, 2012) around 10:30am. They started letting them go inside at 11:30. She didn't finish until 3pm. She said the woman that was handling her paperwork was impatient and rude unlike others. They took the I-864 along with recent 3 years tax transcripts, the medical results envelope, the employment verification letter, and all three white books - marriage, birth and police certificate. However, the DS-230 was not taken.
The next day my wife got there around 6:30 and didn't go up until 7:30am. She said most interviewees got approved, she didn't see any denial. Her interviewer was a nice and friendly male. She was asked the following questions:
How did the two of you meet?
Have you ever been married before?
Are you a member of the CCP?
How long have you been married?
What is your occupation?
How many times did your husband come to China to see you?
Just like that, she was approved and got a white slip of paper.
