Review Topic: Other Experience

Yesterday, my fiance and I finished all the medical and lab requirements. My experience was very pleasant. Thursday we went to the lab after scheduling our medical appointment for Friday, (mandatory to complete before attending the medical appointment) and paid 135,000. The duration of the lab took about 30 minutes and at conclusion they forwarded the results to the doctor where your appointment is scheduled who in our case was Dr. Roa. Importantly, you do not need to schedule an appointment for the lab (beneficiary just needs to bring passport, a photo, cedula, and a 5 x 5 photo).

Furthermore, the appointment with Dr. Roa went very well and in a good area (Usaquen)so you could grab something to eat while waiting for the paperwork! The cost of the medical exam was 150,000 and if your fiance does not have any vaccine paperwork, Dr. Roa only administered 3 vaccines (influenza, tetanus, and another) which cost a total of 86,000! I even got a tetanus shot for only 17,000! The total evaluation lasted about less than 30 minutes and we were told to return at 6:30 for pick-up the paperwork (2 envelopes)for the embassy and for immigration (Point of Entry in the USA). Dr. Roa was very professional, nice, serious, very respectful, and gentle with my fiance. In addition, Dr. Roa attended medical school in Boston and speaks English.
