Arrived at the cosulate at 6.20Am. It was raining, almost 60 people already were waiting at the gate. A man came to me asked if I want to buy umbrella and I told no because it was expensive but no quality. I got sheltered with a guy there.
A security guard came around 7.20am and asked evryone to make separate lines for immigration and non-immigration. I stood in 20th position of immigration. Started going in at 7.35am. Got token number at 7.50Am.
Around 8.30Am an Indian lady asked to come to her counter and she handed over all the documents which I had submitted at VFS(Packet 4).
1. Do you have 2011 tax returs and W2?
2. Do you have Demand draft? and show me?
3. Who is calling you to the USA?
4. How did you guys meet? and when?
5. Whats you mothers name before marriage?
6. How many childrens do you have? (Is it was a trick by her???)
7. Where does your fiance live?
Then she told me to goto counter## and deposit the draft and come back. The guy at the cash counter took 2 hours just to make his computer up and running. So almost 20 guys were waiting with me for this. Around 10.45Am the person took the demand draft and gave the receipt. Came back and submitted the receipt and she told me to sit and wait, until an American consulate call me for interview.
Around 11.15Am an American lady called my token number. So my heart started pounding. Then I took a long breath before I goto counter.

When was the last time she visited you?
Have you ever been to USA?
Do you have pictures of engagement? (we had no ceremoney but had dinner with friends and I have pictures) Give me all the pictures you have??
Then she asked about pictures. Where did you take this picture and who is he/she. Then she gave me back all the pictures.
Why are you marrying a older women than you?? (we have 12 years of age gap)
What are your wedding plans?
Co looked at me and said, Your visa is issued and it will be couriered to you in 3 days. I smiled big and wished Thank you very much.
Went to the hotel and first call is to my baby as she was waiting.
Note:: Its all about documents, documents. Whatever red flags you have doesnt matter. Just prepare a lot of proof. If you are real loving couple then pictures will tell all the story behind you. So dont worry about negative posts here.
Note: Dont waste your time by thinking you will get your visa at VFS mumbai in 1 or 2 days. You dont. Immigration visa you will get only after 3 days at VFS counter collection. I have wasted my money to hotel for many days. I got my visa only on 5th day after my interview.
