My wife had her visa approved today, so I am writing a summary before I forget.
We arrived in Guangzhou 2 days ahead. And I went in the Citizen service to get my EOR letter notarized. Paid 50 bucks. Turns out this is useful. (read below)
Nothing much to say about the doc-intake.
On the interview day, we got there 6:15am and there were already 50 people there. Later 2 lines become 5 lines and my wife was told to wait on the 2nd batch (those whose P4 letter didn't have a little green token attached after the Doc-intake, I don't know what difference does this make).
I got up to the 4th floor and I was turned down, so I sit at the coffee shop and waited (3 hours wait). It seems most people got their visa approved. When my wife came out she told me the VO asked the following questions (the VO speaks perfect chinese, and asked all questions in chinese):
1. give me your documents, my wife give him her passport, my passport, my EOR letter
VO looked at my EOR letter for 3 seconds and noticed the notary sign on the 2nd page.
2. So your husband is here? ----- yes, downstairs waiting
3. What does your husband do?
4. where does your husband live?
5. has your husband married before?
6. for how long? when was he divorced?
7. when did you 2 got married?
8. How did you get to know each other?
9. Are you a CCP member?
10. Have you been to USA?
