Our journey started May 17 2012, we took a bus from Zacatecas at 6 am to Guadalajara and arrived to GDL/Bus Station at 12:30 PM, at 4:55 PM we took another bus to GDL Airport, our flight was scheduled to leave at 7:30 via VivaAerobus but it was delayed til a little after 10:30PM. We arrived around 11PM to Ciudad Juarez, paid the taxi around $270 MXN = $20 USD to take us to the Best Western Ciudad Juarez.
Before getting to the Best Western Ciudad Juarez I was worried since I had paid $365 for 9 nights it included taxes and breakfast buffet. The front people are very very nice, the rooms are exactly as the internet very nice rooms with wifi and clean sheets. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS GOOD!!! different food everyday they cook good meals one day they had Barbacoa, they also make eggs to your taste. You don't have to tip but you'll get extra good service if you do. The shuttle service runs every hour on the hour the shuttle driver that starts at 7 AM is VERY VERY NICE young he has a degree in tourism he would take us thru different routes every time and even took the time of day to explain to us the important landmarks.

I scheduled the Medical and the fingerprints on Friday I figured it would be less packed and boy was I right, we got to the first clinic at 5:30AM and there was no more than 4 people in front of us, at 6 am I was taking to a waiting area, by 7:10 am my fiance came for me to the waiting area I thought something had gone wrong but she was done. I proceeded to go to pay the fees and I encountered some problems with the lady at the payments office, I did not sign my credit card receipt exactly the same as I have in back of the credit card and she refused to take the credit card payment even though I showed over 3 US and Mexican ID's , so I had to pay in cash.
The fingerprints appointment was at 2:30pm we arrived at 2:28pm I sat on the floor and I said oh boy I'm going to have to wait a long while here. By 2:35pm she was out and I once again thought something had gone wrong but she said she was done.

Our interview was scheduled for 7:15 am, We got to the consulate/waiting area at 6:30 am we waited half an hour and at 7:00 AM she walked over to the consulate and I waited in the waiting area, around 7:50am she came and boy was I scared I knew something must had gone wrong! but nope "she said I was approved" and I kept on asking her "are you sure its to quick what are you talking about did you understand right". She says the US Consulate officer was very nice and just asked her simple questions like where did we meet , my name and where was she from and if she had family in the U.S. She says the lady who puts your papers in order who happens to be Mexican is very rude she kept on insisting she would have to come back since she didn't have a copy of my birth certificate but I did include a copy of my U.S. Passport the US Consulate Officer did accept the copy of my passport.

On Wednesday the Visa was ready to be picked up but since we were out and about being tourist we did not have enough time to pick it up.

Thursday we picked up the visa around 7:00 AM from DHL Zaragosa and around 10AM the hotel shuttle dropped us off at the Zaragoza international bridge, there was no line to cross over to the U.S. but there was about 3 people before us at the waiting place to get the I-94 we waited about an hour and half since there was only one immigration officer and he kept on taking breaks or something. When she got her I-94 we crossed over and a Family's friend picked us up we stayed with her for two days.

On Saturday we flew from EL Paso to Los Angeles during the flight my then fiance asked me a silly question "How can the captain see the road from all the way up here" she had me laughing. We flew SouthWest I had booked the tickets in advance I thought it was cheap $315 for both of us.
Overall we had a good time, we thought it would be more stressful but it was very easy, we also thought Juarez was going to be scary but it wasn't we used public transportation with no problems keep in mind my then fiance was 20 and I was 24 so I think we would be easy prey for thieves but nothing happened we felt safe and secure. Another funny thing everyone thought she was the petitioner since she looks Russian so everywhere we went they thought I was the beneficiary.
Any questions feel free to ask.
