Well, we went to the medical exam on the 13th two days prior to the interview, went pretty much as everyone said it would. the fee"s were exactly as stated and the vacinations needed werent as bad as i thought. all in all my wife stated that dr. Roa was efficient and profesional. results from the medical exam were given to us in sealed envelopes, for both my wife and stepson.

on the 15th we woke early eager to start the day, left the hotel at about 5:45 and walked to the embassy, as our hotel was about a 1/4 mile away it wasnt far. however we did have a little bit of a difficult time finding the right gate to enter, so for anyone going to their interview look for the gate on the side of the embassy with the 4 round signs with numbers on them. and line up in front of number 3.

at about 6:45 they started coming outside and looking at our interview letters, gave us green dots, and asked us to enter through security. pretty much the same as in a airport, nothing major. once inside we went to window number 4, our appointment was at 8:30 but it didnt matter since there wasnt many people in this line, my wife waited and when her turn came was aked for medical documents, pictures and our documents. at this point it seemed strange because we sent all the originals to the NVC, the lady at the window was very rude and kept demanding different documents, to which my wife called me over and i brought over all the copies of everything we sent in. this seemed to surprise the lady at the window because as soon as she saw me, she asked us to wait, went to do something and returned with both cases complete. then told us everything was fine and retuned the originals to us. on a side note. my wife stated that during the whole time she was asking questions about me such as where did you meet, did you know he was married before, where does he work, where does he live. all while she was trying to look for documents being asked for.after the fact it was obvious this was a tactic to throw off anyone trying to lie or be dishonest. my wife was asked to have a seat and wait to be called. about an hour passed and she was finally called to window 3, and asked who was the petitioner, to which she stated my husband , he is sitting over there. the american lady smiled and said oh great. and is everything stated correct and true. to which she replied yes, and signed the form DS230 part 2. took her finger prints as well as my stepsons and then smiled and said congratulations your approved you will receive your visa in 2-10 days.

we are all very thrilled and happy, thanks to everyone for all your help.

on a side note, my wife did say that she felt that me being there made a differece, that they would have been much more aggressive if i wasnt there, if this is true or not i cannot speculate but wanted to let you know. best of luck to everyone .
