Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My appointment to adjust my status from a K-1 visa was at 1:30. My husband and I found a good parking spot on the Westfield mall nearby, and we walked for about 5 min to arrive to the Federal building where the Sacramento USCIS office is.
Thanks to the reviews on VJ, you know we couldn't enter with our cell phones so we let them in the car. Unfortunately though, we had no idea how long long each step took (no clock and no watch!). I would say we arrived at 1:15 in the waiting room. I slipped my Interview notice at the check-in window as instructed (their blinds are closed, but I noticed someone took my notice after a minute).
We waited for about 30 min before an Immigration Officer called our names. Right after arriving to his office, we both took the oath and then sat. He asked me basic questions in order to review my AOS application (asked for my name, DOB, address...). While flipping each page of our application, he asked us how did we met. I let my husband answered as he always likes to tell our story. It didn't feel like an interview, but more like a pleasant conversation. About our documents, I already submitted originals in our AOS package so he didn't ask me for it, and even gave me back our Marriage certificate. Concerning my medical, I only submitted a copy of my DS-3025 Vaccination record from my K-1 medical (no new visit to a civil surgeon here to transcript my vaccines), as instructed in the AOS instructions, and had no problem.
Finally, he asked us which evidences we've brought to show him we are living together. We showed him both our health insurance cards (I am on my husband's work insurance), a proof of our joint bank account, our credit cards. We didn't have joint life/car insurances, as well as bills with both our names but this was not a problem. The IO was happy with the few documents we showed him and I felt relieved! He left his office to make a few photocopies of our proofs and then came back.

In the end, he told us our application was approved and that I should receive the green card in 3-4 weeks (but I'm expecting faster that than). He explained us the following procedure, meaning that the GC will be valid for 2 years and that we should file for ROC in 2 years minus 90 days. I was already aware of that but continued to listen to him carefully. We both signed the document stating the procedure. He said we were all set and so we thanked him. I would say the "interview" lasted about 20 min.
A few hours after the appointment, I received an email update for "Card/Document Production".

In conclusion, that was a very pleasant experience! The interview letter is kind of scary as it asked to bring a lot of documents already submitted (I guess it's a generic letter for any person adjusting status). I brought a huge stack of docs, just "in case", but only submitted 2 or 3 papers in the end.
