Review Topic: K1 Visa

On Document intake day, I arrived with my fiance to a HUGE line of folks, divided by appointment time. GUZ handles a lot of refugee folks in addition to 'normal' immigration so be sure you are in the correct line. It took quite a while to sit through the line but it became my turn and the Security Officer told me I couldn't accompany my fiance inside, but he let her go in. My fiance said she waited about 2-3 hours before it was her turn. During her turn, she spoke to Chinese persons and submitted her paper. They advised her to bring way un-necessary things to the actual interview. Speaking of which, the next day - my fiance arrived early but still waited for about 4 hours in the cold waiting room. While there, she observed countless rejections and crying; she was a little nervous. However, when it was her turn she was quite confident and the interview only took about 2 minutes. Her visa arrived within a week and she arrived to the USA two weeks later.
