I went to first counter after getting off the plane. He took the passport and the envelope from me. He teared the envelope, checked the documents in it, checked things in computer and passport and finally made the stamp on my passport and wrote the same number on the document.

entry at JFK went very smoothly with no harassment or questions asked, but the immigration officer was unfamiliar with the process and had to ask for assistance.

It was quick. It would've been better if the immigration officer gave the IR-1 stamp, but we got CR-1 instead.

The line was really long when we got to immigration. It went quickly though. We got our turn after about 40 minutes of waiting.
