JFK is a huge airport, and usually gets terrible reviews. Your trip (ordeal?) through immigration will depend on a lot of factors: your arrival terminal, how many flights are getting in at the same time, and where they are from, what time of day you arrive.

K-1 Visa Entry
Agent was very friendly and even made a separate trip to take my US citizen fiancé to back room and wait with me (foreign fiancé). No questions were asked and the process went very smooth. From start to finish about 10 minutes.

My wife entered the room for first time people with 2 other’s. She took about 10 minutes, no hassle or anything. She said it was very easy and wasn’t a problem for her.

She was in and out in an hour. She arrived 5 am on a Thursday morning and there wasn't much of a line either. She said everyone was courteous & professional.
