I accompanied my husband who was the beneficiary. We went through the regular customs line for non-US citizens (even though I am a US citizen). The entry went very smoothly. My fiance stood in the visa line, and had his initial screening and fingerprints taken by a friendly CBP officer who spoke good Spanish (my fiance speaks Portuguese, but he understood the officer).
