We parked in the lot right outside the building (free) went through security.. waited in line a few minutes to go to the front desk to check-in and then were sent to the large waiting room to wait for our number to be called. Our number was 70 and we started to get a little worried when 74 then 78 then 80 etc was being called. (just a side note here, the area to wait is NOT marked well at all.. half of the room is waiting on Info-pass and half for interviews. They call you for the interview from the very corner of the room and you wont hear your number if you're sitting in Info-pass. They had 2 signs which we didn't see for 20 minutes neither did the couples around us.. they had just 2 pieces of paper taped to a pillar sideways and hand written. Had to be almost on them to read them... so if you're there for the interview you will be called from the right hand corner of the room as you go in) anyway, apparently its normal for numbers to be called out of order as each officer has thei... read complete review

Made an appointment to get my expedite on my Advance Parole, my father suffered a heart attack and I needed to fly back and be with him. But did they care?
They didn't care, their words were "You could be a terrorist, and we dont know what you will do when you leave" I was sitting there in tears thinking to myself ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
As if they would say that to me! She took my case over to another lady which was even worse, came over trying to argue with me calling me a lier, and they won't help me!
I then got very angry and requested to see the manager which funny enough turns out to be the second lady who came over to review my case, she then told me she going to have my request sent and she called someone on the phone because I refused to leave at this point until something was done, I now know she did this to get me out because it turns out she never called anyone and when I called the USCIS the next day to see if my card was sent to me, they didn't have a... read complete review

We had to wait about one hour. The restrooms are in the hallway and so is the water fountain; you are not supposed to take any food or drinks into the waiting area. We felt a bit nervous when we'd had to go the the restrooms or drink something as we could be called in anytime.
The interview lasted about an hour. The officer that interviewed us seemed very stern but turned out to be kind. He asked some questions and we had to show our IDs. We did not have to show anything out of the large pile of extra evidence we brought in. He leafed through the file and asked some more. Wrote a few things down. He appreciated the fact that I had been forthcoming with information in my application as well as in earlier interviews (for my B-2 visa and at the border). He explained some more about the Green Card process and removal of conditions, and citizenship. He said he would approve me and I'd receive news within 2 weeks. The next day I received the notification that a new card was being pro... read complete review

We went to our USCIS interview this morning. our appointment was at 8.15 am but we only got called into our interview at 9 am. So we waited for a while. Chilling in the waiting room, R cracking jokes so that I wouldn't feel nervous. Because I would have had some real bad bubble-guts if he hadn't done that.
Got in to the interview room, took an oath ("To tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth so help me God!") and was seated by an interviewer. Mr. S, was bald and dressed in a pale grey suit with a prominent American flag pinned to his lapel. We exchanged greetings, he asked for our drivers licences and passports. He asked us if we still live at the same addresses on our Drivers Licences. We both said yes and it went from there into a real conversation, about housing and real estate and prices, The interviewer had lived in the area for about a year and knew all of our regular restaurants and haunts. We talked about how we met, how long we had known each other. Our par... read complete review
