We arrived 20 minutes before our scheduled appointment time. You have to pay $8 to park at the Dept of Homeland Security office in Tukwila. They take credit cards. We waited outside until 15 minutes before and then went in, went through a metal detector, and waited in line to get a number. We probably waited 15 minutes before the interviewer called our number. Make sure to sit where you can hear the interviewers - it's hard with the masks and we saw someone not hear their number called. Our interviewer was super nice. She asked us some basic questions - where did we meet, what's our address, etc. and then went through our packet to make sure all the information was updated. We had moved so there were a few things to update. We handed her our evidence and after she asked a bunch of questions directly from the 485 form, we were told we were approved! His green card came within 6 business days!

After (almost) two long years since we filled it was our turn to go to the field office to adjust my status.
We have been married for over two years and have a solid and loving relationship.
We entered the building 15 minutes prior to our interview. It seems like those are their current covid restrictions. They checked us in - we presented our interview notice along with state IDs. We walked upstairs, which is a huge waiting room and waited for our turn. There were about 10-15 parties. Officers were calling people in from all over the room. After more than an hour it was our turn.
We got a very nice young lady, who explained the whole interview to us. She swore us in and then started reviewing my I-485. We made some corrections to my work history and our address. She went over the yes/no questions. I admitted working without an authorization years ago (it was a matter of couple of weeks). She asked me some details about it and then moved ... read complete review

We have waited for our interview for 2 years from the date we filed. We had to file Writ of Mandamus to get our case moving because we didn’t think it was justifiable to wait 2 years. We finally had our interview as of 08/19/21 and the interview was 1 hour and 18 minutes for us. Officer who interviewed us was very professional and was thorough with your interview. She asked simple biographical questions at first, then followed it with reviewing I-130, I-130A, and I-485. Officer equally questioned both me and my husband. She also went through my F1 visa history to verify things. Lastly she took the binder we prepared for her and looked through every marital evidence we brought with us. She took couple joint paper work for her record and photos from our photo album. She told us at the end of the interview that she will be reviewing our application to finalize couple of things and followed her statement by saying that if we are approved I will be receiving a 10 years green card sin... read complete review

Green Card Interview experience:
Our interview was scheduled for 10:15 am. We were let through security at 10:00am due to COVID restrictions. We then waited for approximately 35-45 minutes for our number to be called. The interview itself lasted 15-20 minutes.
-The officer had us swear to tell the truth.
-He asked for our IDs and passports.
-He asked for our marriage certificate and our son's birth certificate (Our son was just born a month prior to this interview).
-He then went through the I-485 paperwork with my husband (intending immigrant) to verify the information and add changes, such as his new job and our son's birth.
-The final step was for the officer to go through several pages of questions with my husband related to national security and if my husband is a terrorist or criminal.
-The officer then said that’s all he needed.
-I asked if he needed my husband's official medical exam (I-693) and he said it wasnââ‚... read complete review

We had our marriage interview for Adjustment of Status (F-1 student status to Permanent Residency).
Our Seattle officer was straightforward- no trick questions, easy to talk to.
Timeline wise, my priority date was 07-02-2019, and my interview date was 6-25-2021.
2-3 hours after the interview, my status of the AOS I-485 case changed to approved.
And I received the card in hand on July 1st.
Please remember that the parking lot costs 8 dollars ( they just started to take credit cards).
