Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Got APPROVED today. What a great feeling. Thanks to all VJ members, you have been my no. 1 source for all my immigration questions!
I brought lots of bona-fide wedding documentation to be safe, along with the copies and originals of what I submitted already (as stated in the notice).
There was no wait, the officer greeted us 5 min BEFORE our scheduled time! And I’m quite a joker myself but prepared myself to be stoic, but it was needed since the officer made jokes all the way from greeting us until the time we left!! I didn’t expect that!
Before we sat down he almost said we were approved! I did not have to show ANY of the documents that I brought, just went over all the ones I had submitted, and within 15 min we were approved after sharing how we met each other.
The rest of the interview was to make sure the card was sent to production (he showed his screen confirming that), getting the I-551 stamp in my passport since travelling out of country soon... read complete review

USCIS didn't take her EAD/AP card but they did keep her I-94 stub. The interview process was smooth, simple, and non-eventful. Overall a pleasant experience.

Arrived there 15mins ahead of the time. The office was running behind and s i ended up waiting for an hour past my scheduled time.

The lady was super friendly, she did ask where my husband was, and i stated that he was deployed and showed her his orders. The total interview lasted about 20mins. Very basic questions were adked, biographic information questions, verifying everything is correct.

The a few questions on how we met etc etc. all in all very easy and straight forward, APPROVED! Card production ordered! Yay!

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our interview scheduled at 9:55am, we got there a few minutes before. Went through security pretty quick. We got to the waiting room and there wasn´t a lot of people just a one person waiting for a naturalization interview. We waited like about 10 minutes before they called us in. My husband´s name was called by a young women she was very nice and spoke to us in spanish. The whole interview was conducted in spanish which was nice because my husband doesn´t speak english. Then she walked us to her cubicle, her name was Daisy. She swore us in and said she was gonna ask my husband a few questions and then she wanted to talk about our marriage. She asked my husband all his general information, which was on the form we had sent in...she was checking that everything was correct. The only documents she asked for were my naturalization certificate, his birth certificate, our daughter´s birthcertificate, our marriage license After that she said if we had any pictures, so we showed he... read complete review

So our appointment was at 9:15 June 8, 2012. We were called in at about 9:19 and the officer brought us into his little cubicle office. He swore us in and then proceeded to ask a few questions. He was very friendly and seemed nice. We were both together through the whole interview.

He asked me what my husbands full name was.
He asked if I had met my husbands parents and then asked me what their names were. Where they lived and if they were still married.
He asked where my husband was born.
He then asked my husband where I was from and if he had ever been there.
He asked my husband how we met and when.
What date we first met in person.
He asked where we stayed the first time I came to visit my husband.
How many times we met in person and who went where for visits.
He asked when we got engaged and where.
He asked about our wedding photos. Who people were in the photos.
He asked when we had opened one of... read complete review
