It was myself and my wife and our two daughters. We were given three separate appointments because we had filed three I485 applications. If you do happen to have children on a K2 to AOS you will have to wait a little longer than other people We had our first appointment at 7am but what our interviewer did was group all of them in one appointment since it was children and an adult. It took about an extra hour for her to group our appointment and review over all the files. By the time we got in it was about 8am maybe an hour after our first appointment. It lasted about an hour, we sat in a room w/ a normal desk and our interviewer first started off by verfiying all documents, meaning birth certificates, IDs, passports, marriage certificate. She will compare what copies you sent in to what is original and check them off as she goes. In the mean time she asked us a couple of general questions, all of which coincided with other interviewees. 1. How did you meet each other the first time an... read complete review

I'm so relieved and happy i passed the interview process. We thought we were going to be super late (appt was at 8:45 am) because there were so many accidents and part of the freeway was shutdown... it was so stressful watching the 30+ minutes add onto on the GPS time of arrival, but luckily we left early enough in case something went wrong with the traffic i found out that public parking was available in the same building as the USCIS San Diego offices so that saved so much time.
We (hubby, kiddos & I) got there about 10 min early.
We went through securityshowed interview letter and ID (really professional, courteous and friendly with my kids) and then checked in with my N400 interview notification letter. They gave me a form to fill in with my name etc. For to prepare the naturalization certificate.
I was called in 5 minutes later and my husband and kids waited in the waiting area. The Officer Interviewing me was really friendly, said... read complete review

I (foreign beneficiary married to US citizen) had my interview for AoS (concurrent I-130 and I-485) and could not have been more pleasantly surprised. My case had moved extremely slowly and only advanced when I submitted service requests, but at least we made it past our two-year anniversary, so I received the permanent residency. I was scheduled for 9:00 AM, got there at around 8:30 AM and I was called in at 9:20 AM by Officer Anderson, who treated us with utmost respect and kindness. The interview probably lasted for about 25 minutes.
As we entered his office, he asked us to remain standing while taking the oath, and subsequently invited us to sit. He requested our id's, marriage certificate and my birth certificate, and went over our I-485 information with each one of us. Following, he took notes while asking us when and how we met, when we started dating, when we got married, who attended our wedding and so on. He delved into some details more than others (for exampl... read complete review

Since my fiance's arrival 26 April 2016, We got married here, 04 May 2016 (our big ceremony, our Engagement Ceremony was in Nha Trang, at the Pagoda, 27 September 2015), After her arrival we've sold our house, bought another one, moved, and are now settled, finally!
In summary:
This really tests a relationship. Once the initial burden of leaving VN was over with. The reality of life here set in. I pray everyone knows life begins to be somewhat of a struggle for the person entering their new home. Patience is of utmost importance, by everyone and understanding for your spouses circumstances in their new home.
At first, people here were very welcoming. There were the curious ones of course. But now we are settled with a few close friends, and of course family all over the place, Canada, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Ohio, Georgia, Texas. It is important your spouse is able to keep in touch with family and friends elsewhere.
