The interview only lasted maybe 10 minutes. The officer only asked how we met and asked my husband our address. Even though he messed the address up, thank God we got approved. It's a good idea to have id's that have the same address on them.

Yesterday we had our interview at our local USCIS. It was at 8:05AM and we arrived at 7:40. There was no one in line for screening. It's very "airport" like, belts, shoes and jackets off.
We were instructed to take elevator to 2nd floor. The room is large and the receptionist asked us to place our paper in the bin in front of her. She would then take it and date/time stamp it. She filed them and officers march out, grab papers and call names. In our case, I didn't see the officer come get our paper, but around 8:15AM we were called to meet with Officer Mena. Very nice and polite lady. We were sworn in but because I left my drivers license in the car, so I had to go get it. She asked us to step out in the waiting area again while I went to go get it. She called us back in a few minutes later and swore us in again. She basically went over the entire form we had submitted, making changes as needed. She then asked to see any documentation that we had establishing ou... read complete review

Our experience with San Bernardino office was great! Staff was polite and kind. We arrived about 15 mins. early and waited around an our to be called. There were a lot of people waiting so that's understandable. The officer who interviewed us was a man with pleasing personality. He was the first one who greeted us and was smiling the whole time we were with him. He first asked us to swear to tell the truth and asked for our passports, IDs and my EAD. He just asked questions that verifies what we wrote in the forms like my name, address, dob, any illegal activity etc.
He asked us if we brought more supporting documents as evidence and I gave him our joint tax return, joint bank account statement and phone bill (all are just recently applied for since I just got my SSN.) He asked me if I have some pictures for him to keep and just asked for 5 (he didn't even looked at them) then he found our pictures page while he was scrolling thru the pages of our file so he said he did... read complete review

Well I had my interview yesterday at the San Bernardino field office. Just to make sure that there won't be any traffic nightmare running late scenarios, we left an hour earlier than necessary. So since there wasn't any traffic, we got there an hour and 20 mins before my interview time. So we just kind of drove around the downtown area of San Bernardino (nothing to see) and then went to the parking lot of the USCIS building. The parking lot is a pay parking lot and it's connected to the building. Very convenient and plenty of spaces.
There was no line to get in the building and the two security guards were very nice. I was told to go to the second floor. There is a large room on the first floor also and I'm assuming different interviews/other USCIS stuff goes on there. Second floor had three windows and only one had someone behind it, so I dropped my appointment letter into the tray as directed and took a seat. After maybe 20 minutes I was called to the window... read complete review
