My case is different because my AOS was through my dad who is now a USC, when he petition for he was a LPR, that's why it took many years for my case to be resolve. At my interview I was given
1 RFE, which was easy to provided but 1 month later I received 2 more for which I too had the evidence but my lawyer made the mistake of not reading carefully and send the info for just 1 of the RFE's, which got my AOS to be denied. But he quickly filed for motion to reopen and sent the rest of the evidence. The case was open again in September 4, 2012 and approved the same day. Thank GOD!!!

We got into San Antonio just after 10.
We scouted out the building and where we needed to park etc which took a little bit of finding and then tried to find a Starbucks to sit and read for a couple of hours (appointment was for 1.30pm.. we were paranoid about being on time). It was harder to find a Starbucks than to find the immigration building!
We headed out to get to the building an hour early, they let you in 45 minutes before your appointment. We had to go though a security check, get bags scanned and go through the metal detector. The guard was friendly, and we chatted a little before he took my appointment letter and we headed into the waiting room.
We sat and waited and read and waited some more, we got called about quarter to two, so only 15 minutes after the appointment time, much better than we expected. The woman took us upstairs and had us sit on a sofa for another fifteen minutes while she did something!
We got ... read complete review

AOS interview was a few days less than 4 months after the AOS filing.
The interviewer was very professional and polite. As AOS was from K-3, present as also USC spouse (and our immigration attorney).
Questions were of our biography (where you live, phone #, your parents names, DOB, until when is the passport valid, when and where you got married etc), how you met etc.
We had a huge folder of supporting documentation, but the only ones he asked and took copies of were my birth certificate (I live in a country where there is no such document, so he took a long form of extract of population that is used for the same purpose, with details about birth family, and apostilled), USC's taxes, health insurance coverage (both were covered on both's). No photos were asked, but then again we've been married for nearly 5 years.
The interview took around 40-50 minutes.

Before the interview I had been looking for items such as sample interview questions and stories about people's experience. There were so many possibilities and things that could happen, I wasn't sure what to expect. Our appointment was scheduled at 1 p.m. We arrived shortly after 12 p.m. and were allowed to check in and wait in the lobby. About 12:45, our interviewer came into the lobby and called us in. From the moment he spoke to us, I could tell he was very friendly and professional. When we walked into his office, he had us swear in and then be seated. The interviewer asked us basic relationship questions like where we met, how long were we together before we decided to get married, etc. Talking with him wasn't like being in an interview, but more like talking to a friend. He took my wife's I-94 out of her passport and stamped it. He said she would receive her green card in the mail in a few weeks and he explained to us about removing the temporary conditions in 1 year ... read complete review
