I had my appointment at 8am August 23rd. I was absolutely freaking out because I somehow misplaced my passport somewhere in our apartment, and could not find it to bring along. I tried calling USCIS to ask if I should try and reschedule, but maybe I didn't have the right patience to figure out how to get to an actual human. The recording just kept telling me to "Ask Emma" lol. I did, she wasn't helpful. So thankfully I had copies of my passport and brought those along, fingers crossed real hard it wouldn't matter too much.
My husband and I arrived around 7:40am at the Minneapolis office on Marquette. Went through security, checked in and received a number, sat down and waited. Right at 8am our number was called and we went in. We were interviewed by Officer Jack, who was super nice and friendly. Definitely made me feel a little less nervous. She asked for our id, including my passport. I nervously told her that I couldn't find it (AND STILL HAVEN'T, WHERE ARE YOU PASSPO... read complete review

This review is actually for the new USCIS facility on Marquette Ave at Minneapolis, MN.
My interview was on 2/20 at 9:45am. I had my husband drop me off because parking is hard to find, unless you are lucky enough to find street parking.
There was a decent line going through security but it moved pretty quickly. You had to show security your appointment letter. Without one, you cannot enter the office. People were allowed to bring family members to wait with them in the lobby, but not to the interviews or to the counter for INFOPASS appointments. There were 5 counters on the right hand side of the lobby.
After security, I checked in at the counter and was given a letter/number. I assume that the different letters denote the purpose of your visit. My number was called right at 9:45am and I was led through a locked door to left of the counters, back to the individual offices for the IOs. My IO was J Suarez. He was very war... read complete review

Very pleasant experience at the Minneapolis office. Interview consisted of confirming some basic information, answering questions about home address and work. Officer asked if there was any additional supporting information we would like to include in our file (proof of joint checking, mortgage or lease, auto/health insurance etc.) and photos if we had any. It didn't seem to be absolutely necessary that we had any of these but we did bring a few to be safe. He did ask if we had an updated affidavit of support which we did not since we didn't think we needed it as the instructions list said we only needed this if we hadn't already submitted with K1 which we had. This didn't seem to be an issue.
We brought copies of everything and originals (marriage cert., vaccination record, birth certs). We were only asked to show drivers licenses and passport for the spouse of petitioner as far as original documents.
We were informed we were approved and could expect t... read complete review

I had my GC interview (K-1) and the officer told us to wait for the final decision for 4-6 weeks. It has been over 6 months since then. 2 infopasses did not help at all. They keep telling us that they're very busy, they are still working on it, etc etc etc.

We arrived at 1:55pm for our 2:15pm appointment. We checked in. All the staff were friendly. At 2:30 our number was called. I (citizen) went in first. I was asked the standard questions. What side of the bed? His parent's names. That sort of thing. Took about 20 mins. Then my husband went in. We were done in about an hour. We got the standard wait for a decision paper. The officer did explain that he had to check everything on the forms. So we wait.
