Our interview lasted 20 minutes. Our lawyer was present - we provided updated proof of relationship, and our ids and passports. The officer asked my husband to answer all of the questions he had answered on the application form (yes/no questions) then asked if our husband/wife was present in the room. Overall it was very easy and concise. He informed us that he was recommending us for approval. We received the noa 3 days later, informing us that my husband’s permanent resident status had been approved.

We did not bring photos as we have included a lot in the application package, but we did bring additional financial proof (lease, insurance with both of our names on), as well as our joint tax return documents. We did not get approved on-site because the officer wanted to go over our documents one more time. Our case was approved 4 days after the interview (i-485 case showing 'new card is b... read complete review
