Ok, so we had our interview today at Bloomington, MN. It was scheduled for 2.30 pm, we arrived good half an hour early, but had a long wait. The waiting room was half packed, people were going in and out, but we were still waiting... I didn't like that, thinking that we had an officer that spent way more time with people then everyone else did. The couple that was sitting in front of us was called in separately by a young female officer, they had a lawyer, we didn't.
After half an hour the wife came out worried and started talking to us, while her husband was taken inside. She was not happy having female IO because, as she said, women always go deeper into details when questioning. She was asked a lot of questions about specific dates, also some personal questions around the house like stokes interview. She messed up some dates, and thought she did really bad, but later I found out they were denied before based on bad paperwork regarding previous marriage, I guess that was the ... read complete review

the interview passed pretty good. Our interviewer was such a NICE person. He wanted to see our support documents(such as bills, insuarance papers,pictures..) he didnt even ask how we met or how we decided to get married.he asked me when and where i entered to U.S. he did check our IDs and SSN and parents names.. what I would suggest to people is don't lie about anything because they will find it out sooner or later and you dont want bigger mess to deal with..My husband and I were really suprised how easy it was. There is nothing to afraid just put all the paperwork together and show up,answer the questions..

We got to the office 1 hour early so the security told us they have a nice cafeteria next door, so we went and had coffee. After we went in went up to the waiting room ( it was packed) sat down and tried to read..we had a soft quiet laugh together when 1 women got called in and it looked like she was going to fall out of her clothing... the shortest skirt and lowest top and the highest heels you don't even see in a bar. When we were called my husband and I went in and the lady apologized for being behind we said no problem after swearing us in we talked a little about where i am from and i gave her a few ideas of places to visit next time she is there. She asked my husband a few questions first for the I-130 then asked me the usual questions for the I-485.. after about 15 minutes she said everything looks good, that we had lots of evidence and we would hear something in about 2 weeks. It was a very nice relaxing interview.

The day went relatively easy, although the building was somewhat hard to find, as it is in a set of office buildings off the main road, and there wasn't a sign by the entrance. the numbers were a bit hard to see, but in the end we found it b/c the next buildings' numbers were too high, so we realized we'd passed it.
There was alot of waiting, but overall, it was pretty organized. You went in one room, just to go through a metal detector, and then, once you were cleared, you went into the main building and up the stairs. You submitted your paper giving your name and appointment time in a window, and then were buzzed into another waiting room, where you wait for the interview.
Our interview went great -- the lady interviewing us was very friendly and nice, and very easy to talk to. After the interview, Nick was given the green card right there, and we were on our way.

So, here's what happened at my interview. My husband and I got there about 12:30. We were sent up to the third floor, placed the interview notice in a bin, and went into a waiting area. There were people waiting there, and we just sat down and watched some CNN. Then a blonde lady came out at 1:10 and called me. She took me to her office, and then asked me to swear the oath. She asked the usual questions, what's your name, date of birth, husband's name, address, parents' names, and so on. She then asked the other questions, if you've been a prostitute, terrorist, deported, etc. Then she asked how we met, when we got married, where the ceremony was held, who attended. I gave her our photo album with all our pictures from when we dated, family reunions, vacation, and wedding pictures. She also collected copies of our utility bills, cellphone bills, health, life, and renter's insurance, and joint bank statement. She then called my husband in, made him take the oath, and asked him basically... read complete review
