Hi everyone! The interview went well! Very easy, lots of rambling... In general: I brought too many papers, he took the rent agreement, copies of our BC, and not the photos, which I did bring, but I also brought photocopies of them (like 3/page) and he said those are better, they fit perfectly in the folder. Questions: how did you meet? What town were you born? All the mandatory questions (the ones where we all answered no no no no no no no no). Then he asked if I like it here, and then it was all rambling without questions. Very smooth, very nice guy.
He didn't say the words "you're approved" but he did explain that we will be getting a letter shortly with the conditional residence card, and that he have to apply for ROC 3 months before the second anniversary of the interview.
Then we left, so happy ! Had lunch at a nice place, got a bottle of champagne because the occa... read complete review

We had our interview yesterday and were approved.
Honestly it was grueling. We were there for three hours, one hour wait and two in the interview room. 50 minutes of that was me and the rest going through the paperwork for my four children so that would be exceptional. Be prepared for a long wait beforehand.
Basically, the officer is trained to trick you and spot any lies/omissions etc. He continually did this, misrepresenting information, and pursuing very specific facts or dates here and here. Some of the big and obvious stuff he didn't touch. He barely looked at my photos for instance. Yet made a big deal about EXACTLY which dates I came and went on one of my visits here and finding the registration date of my birth; my previous divorce certificate ( which they already had) etc. I was super organized with my paperwork and was thankful for this, even though some of it wasnt touched. Things that were asked for they already had, but just be prepared to p... read complete review

IO was nice enough. Asked all the expected questions from the AOS packet, plus where did we meet, where do we live, asked about the kids. He removed several photos, copy of my taxes, asked why we got married in Reno instead of a local courthouse. He looked through photos in my cell. Then said we would receive the green cards in the mail within the next 2-3 weeks..(small pause)..or receive an RFE or possibly a request for another interview. He stated he would review the file. Disappointed we did not receive an on the spot approval but my understanding is Sacramento does not reveal any such information. A few hours later the online app sent a notification to my phone stating an update. It went from Interview Date Set to Submitted for Interview Date. No “Interview Completedâ€. Apparently Sacramento Field Office does not update that information either forcing us to have to wait and see...

Interview was fast and easy. We provided photos of our US trips (San diego, LA, Seattle, Lake Tahoe). Only "required" questions were asked: Were you a prostitute? Did you ever commit a crime? Convicted of a crime? Are you a terrorist? Ever helped a terrorist organization? etc

Easy 15 minute interview, officer asked for our ID's then asked her name, address, etc and affirmed all of the security questions on the I-485. Asked me a couple of questions and for the marriage certificate. Asked for extra proof and I gave him a photo album from the last 9 months. Congratulations, this is clearly a bona-fide marriage. Application approved and green card should arrive in 3 to 4 weeks.
