Interview was scheduled for 8:15AM, we arrived at 07:40AM.
At 08:00 the office opened the door, we went through the metal detector, and checked in.
The girl at the reception checked our IDs and invitation letter, and gave us the ticket (K2), then she told us to wait on the second floor.
We waited for 10 minutes, and our number was called (exactly at 08:15AM) and our IO, a middle age, red hair man, walked us in his office.
He asked us to swear to tell the truth and then he took my picture and fingerprints
Then, he started with the questions.
My wife and I have never been separated, and he asked questions to both of us, looking in the face the person from who he was expecting the answer.
He started with me.. he said you were not admitted to enter last December in Dublin (for who do not know, for travelers from Ireland to USA, the US immigration desks are in Dublin and not at destination).

My wife almost had a panic attack in the parking lot but once we got inside, we were made feel very much at ease. I think the fact we had nothing to hide, made me very chilled out.
We waited about 20 minutes in the waiting area, where I'm in no doubt you are being monitored for body language etc. Once we went in, the case officer was very nice and asked a handful of basic questions.
To my wife:
Where I work
What my schedule looks like
What my morning routine is
To me:
Where my wife works
What her schedule looks like
What her routine is
Then went through the basic standard questions:
Are you a terrorist?
Do you intend to commit espionage?
Have you ever killed someone?
Then he said he was happy we were genuine and they would be in touch. That was it!

Met very friendly professional staff at the Durham field office. We had about a 90 minute wait and interview took 20 mins. I was approved in office and had text and email within 15 minutes of leaving. Lots of parking

I feel lucky having had this particular office, since I did my first green-card in California during the time of 9/11/2001 and that was a nightmare.
I arrived 10 min before my appointment, and waited another 10 before getting called in. All in all, the Civics test and some small talk, the interview only took me some 20 minutes. He didn't even look at some of the original copies I had with me, since the letter stated that you should bring the originals with you since I submitted copies electronically. (I actually photographed them with my cell phone, lol).
Great relaxed office that isn't crowded and seem well-staffed. Lucky me!

Done quickly and professionally. Officers were friendly but focused. One did the small talk and the other did the paperwork. Had phone ring a few times and someone knock at the door. Approved in an hour of leaving the offices.
