Horrible! The officer was disheveled, disrespectful and unprofessional. His zipper was down with his shirt sticking out. He had greasy unbrushed hair. He farted very loudly throughout the interview and even lifted half his bottom off the chair when he did it. He chewed on his pen and slobbered all over it and then gave it to my husband to sign forms with. He could not make a decision so he passed it on to his supervisor. We were denied, we appealed, our appeak was denied and we are in the middle of removal proceedings. My attorney said he has dealt with many rude officers but nothing like the one we dealt with. Each encounter we have had in Portland has been a negative one.

Got sworn in and asked about the biographic info, then she went over the affidavit of support and told us it was sufficient. She asked Hassan the questions from the form, like if he ever was arrested etc. Then she wanted to know everything about our relationship from meeting the first time until now. She asked about his family, mine, my daughter. How do they get along, when did he meet her the first time. She wanted to know how many times I had been to Morocco and how was my time spent there. She asked for joint bills, rental agreement, anything we had jointly. We gave her rental agreement, power bill, bank statement and installment agreement of a car we bought together. She asked for pictures, I had brought an album with pics from Morocco and here, she looked at every single picture and asked questions about some. She had a sense of humor, was very thourough but always nice.
In the end she said she believed us and approved Hassan. She stamped his passport, took his EAD card and... read complete review

Hi All,
Well, everything went smoothly yesterday. We showed up at 10am for our 10:30am interview. There are bathrooms at the end of the hall, so that was nice in comparison to the Vancouver embassy! And they seemed to allow purses and electronics (I saw alot of people talking on their cells and listening to music while waiting). The guards in the front are nice and didn't want to see anything for id except our folders to put through the scanner. We then went into a waiting room that had a basket for interview letters outside the door (to the left side of the door) - make sure you put your letter in the basket or else you will be waiting for nothing (alot of people forgot to put their letter in).
Waited until 11:10 to actually be called. We were sworn in, asked to verify name, addie, ssn. We had a really friendly lady who asked then to see all the joint information that we had to give her. So I just gave her a bunch of copies of everything I had as m... read complete review

Travelled 3 hours from home. We arrived an hour before. The interviewer was accomodating, just asking for addtional evidence, to be mailes directly to his office in Portland. Still waiting for the approval.
