Well, thanks to reading these reviews before we had our interview, we were much more confident that the interview would go well. Before that, we were imagining all sorts of things they would ask us, and really working ourselves up over it...overwhelmed with how much we were supposed to know about each other, and what kind of trick questions they would ask. So, to help others quell their anxiety, here is how our interview went at the Porland, OR service center.
First, we got there about an hour early. We knew we would be really early, but we used this time to watch other couples come and go, see the expresions on their faces when they returned, timed how long each were gone. For us (and this may not be for everyone), it gave us a sense of calm to see how easy going it was for everyone else.
Our name was called back, and my husband and I went with the interviewing officer. She was very nice, introduced herself and said she would be the one conducting our interview. ... read complete review

Just had our interview for AOS from F-1 in Portland, Oregon. We waited in the waiting room up stairs with a bunch of other couples and singles waiting for their InfoPass appointments.
When we were finally called in (about 30 minutes after our appointment time), an officer led us back to her office and swore us in. Then she said she would be interviewing me (the US citizen) first. She went straight in and asked me my husbands full name, birthday, and our address. Then she started asking about my I-864 (which we qualified for based on assets). She wasn't very happy that we didn't have a steady income, but was satisfied with my answers and finally started asking my husband his mandatory questions from the I-485. She also made him go over each and every one of his entries into the US (which has been about 6 times now) asking about when he came in on VWP and his student visa, the months and days that he came in and how long he stayed. I was surprised that she seemed so intere... read complete review

Our interview for adjustment of status based on marriage after entering the US on a K-1 visa lasted about 10-15 min and was very relaxed and easy. The first thing the officer told us was that our paperwork was amazing (thank you VJ!) and that we were just going through a few mandatory questions and that we would not have to provide any more evidence (we will just save the evidence we collected for ROC). We were asked for our names, date of birth, how we met, and when we decided to get married. That was pretty much it and the rest of the time we were just having a friendly conversation while the officer was going through our file asking basic questions. We were approved at the end of the interview and the card should arrive in 2-3 weeks. I brought my EAD/AP combo card but was allowed to keep it. It was definitely a very good experience

parking in front of the building was very easy for our 2pm appointment on a Monday. The interviewing officer was very friendly yet professional. She asked us simple questions as to How we met?, how often we had physically spent time with each other(how often I went to the Philippines)?, when did I propose?,when did we decide to get married, etc..
Proof of relationship only required our showing a rental lease with both our names on it and a joint utility bill. We decide to show some pictures as well.
All in all it was a positive experience.
