Went in for the interview this morning (Norfolk office). Got there a little early, Went very well, took about 15 minutes. The officer (Golli? Galli?) went right to business, but not too scary either. Checked that we could spell our own names, ask our parents' names, address, mostly basic stuff. We brought lots of pictures, he only kept copies from the wedding (we also had our wedding album). We bought our first house in December, so we had proof of that as well.
We were a little worried because my wife has Type 1 diabetes, and we couldn't bring food or juice inside in case she goes low while waiting. But we weren't there long enough for that issue to occur.
Overall, very good experience there. The officer took my I-94 that was stapled to my passport and said we'd get the green card in the mail between 2 weeks to 6 months. Hopefully it comes within 2 weeks! Also, he told us I was getting a permanent GC since we've been married for more than 2 years. I like ... read complete review

This office is highly professional, based on our experience August 27 2008 AOS interview visit. We arrived ten minutes early; the security staff was cordial and welcoming and even full of jokes. At promptly 11 a.m. we were called for the interview. Our very thick file was there, the officer had done her homework with it, and the questions she asked were well-informed. In a way, it seemed like a visit with an old friend -- yet still quite focused. We had more documents to provide her than she requested, which helped. After 20 minutes of friendly conversation, she described what's next (she saw no problems), she would make her recommendation that afternoon and send a letter, and then she took us to the door.

Went in for Biometrics on March 20, 2008. Very professional staff, everyone was very nice and helpful. The lady taking my prints and photo was especially funny and makes you feel at ease.

Biometrics
US Citizen was not allowed inside. Wife said the workers were rude when she did not understand them.
Interview
Had to empty pockets. They would not let any electronics inside. I hate airport security checkpoints and this was worse than any I have been through.

My interview (adjusting from a K3) was scheduled for today at 9 a.m. at the Norfolk, VA district office. I had all my documents prepared that were asked for in the interview letter and more (see list here). I really didn't know what to expect as far as the personality and style of the officer since it varies so much but I read as many reviews as I could from Norfolk as well as other offices. It sounds like this couple had the same officer.
We arrived at the office at 8:45 a.m. and had to go through security. No cellphones or cameras allowed of course. After getting through security they told me to take my interview letter and place it in the ... read complete review
