Furious. Interview was fine and we were signed off on that - but some idiot did not scan the AOS barcode when I took my biometrics in January. So now I have to RETAKE biometrics and they have to redo name check which can take UPTO 6 MONTHS!
We filed everything perfectly without mistake and because of a government monkey I cannot leave the country which is something I really need to do right now... so mad.

New York City office (lower Manhattan, Federal Plaza)
Our appointment for the interview was 9:45am. But we arrived at the entrance of the USCIS's building a little before 9:00am and got out of the building around 9:30am. We first went to the 8th floor for check in, then moved to an interview room at the 4th floor. Although there are 4 or 5 families waited before us, we were called to come in before them, after waited less than 10 minutes or so.
Interview was held at IO's desk, i.e., a cubicle divided by partitions, and the interview lasted around 10-15 minutes.
After we sworn in and showed our passports, we were asked following questions:
1. (Me) My full name
2. (Me) My current address
3. (Me) No terrorist activity, no prior crime, etc.
4. (Both) Whether this is a first marriage.
5. Whether we have original marriage certificate with us today.
6. Whether we have kids.
7. Whether we both... read complete review

This is our experience:
We arrived 1:45 PM for a 2 PM interview. You get scanned thru security and directed to a window like DMV. The lady took Tiff's appointment letter. Then you wait, we waited about a half hr, then they called about 10 people's names, and asked if anyone needed a translator. Then we all went upstairs. Then we waited another half hr or so. Finally an interview officer called us, and we introduced eachother. She was not unpleasant, but not the most friendly. Quite professional.
During the interview, she asked us for ID. Then she actually asked me more questions than she did Tiff. It started with my pedigree, then how we met. Where we met, what I do, have I ever been married, I am 15 yrs Tiff's senior, so there was a question directed at Tiff about how old I was when we met (To which Tiff answered wrong).
Tiff's questions were quite simple, when did you come to the USA, did you ev... read complete review

Garden City, NY review - interview March '09.
Our interview, hubby says, lasted 15 minutes but it seemed like a lifetime.
The IO called my name, and told me and hubby to follow him to his office. He then said: "you first" (to husband) - we didn't understand he wanted hubby to go in and sit on the far chair, and then me in the next one. We thought he wanted to interview us separately! then he said to my husband - no, you both go in, you sit first, then she sits in the next chair! it was not a language issue - as hubby misunderstood it as I did!
He asked if I spoke English, and if I would need a translator. I said my English is good, and I would not need one. Apparently that's a common thing. He then proceeded to ask for our original proofs of identity - USC hubby passport and birth certificate, same for me. He looked at the originals VERY closely.
He then asked my husband: how did you meet your wife? My hubby told him the month... read complete review
