My husband and I (the US citizen) got to Federal Plaza around 1:05, went through security, then up to the 8th floor to speak to a man at the AOS window who told us our interview would be on the 4th floor. We went downstairs and gave our notice to a woman at a window, who stamped it and told us to sit in a row of chairs facing her. I would say we sat down around 1:15. When we got there, there was one couple waiting, then various other couples (about 5, maybe) came in as we were waiting. Around 1:35 (and our interview was scheduled for 1:45) we were called back by a nice and smiley late 20's/early 30's gentleman. We went to his little cubicle and he swore us in. He started by asking me lots of questions, including where I live, how long I've lived there, when Chris and I met, how long we dated before he proposed, places we have visited together, where I work, where I went to school, and previous places where I lived. We then got on the topic of our upcoming wedding in July, and had a nic... read complete review

Hi guys, today I had my interview at 26 Federal Plaza, NYC. We were scheduled for 2:30 so my husband and I decided to get there long before time just in case of any delays in the subway. We got there about 12:35 and walked around a bit before going inside the building, where we had to take off our shoes and place all our belongings in a tray for scanning. We were allowed to take our cell phone with us but not allowed to use it. We got to the waiting room about 1:25pm and where about 5 couples already seated. We went to the appointment window and gave the lady seated there our interview letter and were told to sit a while and wait for our names to be called. About 5 more couples and their lawyers came after us. As we sat waiting we noticed that all the couples were being called and we were still seated; even those who came after us were called in and interviewed. We also noticed that each interview took almost an hour and I became quite concerned when I saw that it was four o clock and ... read complete review

We had our interview at 8 am. We arrive 30 minutes before. We past through security and went to the 8th floor. We were requested to show our letter for the appointment and then we were sent to the waiting area. We waited there for about 45 minutes and then my name was called. An officer greeted us and we were conducted to his office. He was very polite all the time and professional and friendly. He sword us and started to ask us were we meet, how long were we dating, he asked for the original of my birth certificate and my wife's documents. He asked for some pictures and we gave an album to him, He asked were the pictures were taken and we told him that were taken in Europe and Latin America. After this he was convinced and he only asked the yes and not questions. He told us that was not possible take a decision at that moment but everything was fine.
The interview last for 15 minutes and then he gave a paper that said that the decision will be taken in the next 60 days.... read complete review
