My husband and I also had our interview today at federal plaza in NYC. Our interview time was 8:45am so we arrived at 8:15am. Boy... was the security line long but we got through security at around 8:25am. We went to our floor, and was asked for our Ids, and was told to wait. About 10 minutes after, we were called along with two other couples to go to another interview room. I thought they were going to separate us! My husband and I prepared for if that happened but still.. I would prefer to be interviewed together.
Anyways we waited until about 10:00am and we were called in. I was pretty nervous but my husband kept cracking jokes to lighten to mood
We swore in and he questioned my husband 1st. He asked him:
How did you two meet?
And follow up questions. We met a track meet so he asked what distance I used to run etc.
When is your wife's birthday?
What's her parents name?
He then asked me:

OUR INTERVIEW
Hi Everyone,
We had our interview yesterday at Federal Plaza. It was so much drama actually getting there because I (petitioner) left my wedding ring at home accidentally. We didn't realize this until we were on the subway. This at at 9:30 a.m. Our appointment was at 10:45 a.m.! So we had to get off the train, take a taxi home, grab my ring and stay in the taxi to Federal Plaza from Harlem. That was not cheap.
Anyway, we got into a long line for security at 10:30. We just knew we were going to be late. We finally got to the necessary office 15 minutes late. Everyone who helped us was really nice about it and they put us at ease. 5 minutes after arriving our IO called us back. She had just finished interviewing a very suspicion looking couple (african american woman in her late 20s and Middle Eastern man in his early or mid 50s) whose appointment was ahead of us, so our lateness did not matter.
Our... read complete review

Long Island City, Queens
Everyone was so nice and efficient. The interviewer asked some questions from the application then we discussed our marriage. She asked for my taxes and about both of our jobs. She kept some pictures of our family.
She said she was satisfied but we had to await final review and approval. She said I all went well we will have a green card in six weeks. I felt like she was basically telling us we were approved but she couldn't quite say it.
