My interview was scheduled on 9/10/2014 at 1 PM in Long Island City (Queens Field Office), NY. We arrived at 12:45 PM, but my name wasn't called until maybe 2:10 PM. It was seriously a long wait, but I had expected it.
The interview was very smooth, she started by asking us our basic info and then asked about our relationship. I'd say most of the questions were for my husband (he's the US citizen) and there were no tricky questions, just very normal questions any real couples can answer.
Next, she asked for joint documents.
Since we don't own a joint bank account, we gave her our lease, our plane tickets to places together, train tickets, and a lot of photos (she kept our whole photo album haha). That was probably it, it lasted for about 20 minutes or so.
3 hours after the interview, I received the "card production" email. Yayyy :D

The interview was not stressful and was very enjoyable. The interviewer was friendly, cordial and pleasant. Although we were not approved on the spot, I could tell we would be approved by the healthy banter in our conversation about our wedding. It never felt like we were being grilled or mistrusted. I was so relieved at the end of the 15 minute discussion.

We waited nearly two hours before we were called in but there were a lot of people waiting for their interview. Our interview went very well and quickly - 15 minutes at most! The IO initially appeared stern when he called us in but he was very nice to us and we laughed a few times.
He asked me very few questions other than the Yes/No questions of the I-485 form.
He asked both my husband and I if either had been divorced, to which I said yes.
He also asked us to confirm our home address, where we got married and if we had any children together.
The IO could not believe that the I-130 wasn't in his file and although you could see that he was willing to approve me on the spot, he couldn't approve my AOS because of the missing I-130 in his file.
The I-130 was not transferred to the NYC field office from Nebraska as we had instructed them to do on our AOS cover letter.
The IO requested the file so we need to wait until it's transferred ... read complete review
