Went there for the biometrics for AOS and EAD. It's located near a college and is downtown, so parking can be limited.
Aside from that, arrived 30 minutes early to our appointment, and we were done in 15-20 minutes, so we ended up leaving the building 10 minutes before our scheduled time. So apparently being early isn't an issue, at least for biometrics.
Security was nice, fairly straight forward. Take off belts, empty pockets, put everything in a bucket to go through the X-ray machine, etc. The appointment letter says "cell phones are prohibited" so we left ours in the car (make sure you lock the car and keep them out of plain sight if you do), but as of today (09/30/2015), they didn't seem to mind if you brought your cell phone with you, you need need to turn it off and keep it off.
All else being said, don't show up late and expect sympathy for whatever reason. This office was 2.5 hours from where we live, so we stayed overnight in the ar... read complete review

After 40 years here I updated my green card . Great service , very laid back and I was early and so left early.
I have a little penknife on my car key I forgot about...not allowed . So remember not to embarrass yourself that way. It is much like the airport even the belt has to come off.
Great staff over there , I had a nice chat with the security guys and all. Very laid back.javascript:emoticon('')

Appointment for my biometrics was scheduled for 2pm, hubby and I arrived twenty minutes before hand. Went through the security check point, security staff very polite and cheerful. Was told to have my appointment letter and green card to hand. Lady called me over, I gave her my letter and card, she gave me a form to fill out and I was asked to wait until my number was called, this took about five minutes. Went in to a room where my fingerprints & photo were taken which took a few minutes. Was told by friendly staff member that I was all done and that I will either receive an interview date or my ten year green card in the mail. All in all a very quick process.

The interview lasted 15 minutes. The immigration officer was thorough, asked details of our relationship, my previous trips to the US, home address, the Yes/No questions on the I485 form and prior marriages. He wrote my new social security number down, asked for further proof of our relationship so I gave him copies of our utility bill and pictures of our 6 years as a couple. He only kept the utility bill. There was no verbal approval or denial but I received an email 2 hrs later saying my new card was in production.
