We had to reschedule the AOS interview, and the USCIS phone center was no help at all (big surprise there). We put in the request through the phone - but they couldn't tell us anything about the timing of the notice or appointment, only that it would be considerably later than the first. Vika was leaving three weeks after that date to visit Ukraine, so we could have been out to November (it is now August). We made an infopass appointment just to try and get some input into the process, and the staff at the field office were extremely helpful. They rescheduled us BEFORE the original appointment, and even produced the new appointment letter while we waited.
At the interview, the officer called me back first. He asked open ended questions about how we met, and how our relationship developed for about five minutes. Then he brought Vika back and asked the same things to see if our stories matched. He then told us the green card was approved, and told Vika to immediately destr... read complete review

Got to the office just a few minutes before our scheduled interview time, waited about 15 minutes, there was only one other couple waiting. Jose was our interviewer, didn't ask for much of anything...how long I stayed my first trip, when we got married, asked about our kids and for their birth certicates, asked for bank records. Didn't look at any pictures or any other info we brought. We were videotaped, which I didn't realize until he told us he was turning it off. He then let us know he was ordering the card production and advised when we should receive the 10 year greencard and when he can apply for citizenship if he wishes to. Very quick and painless!

Louisville CIS office is very nice and helpful. I needed to adjust my interview date because my husband was gone on a small deployement. They talked to both my lawyer and I, then we all agreed to just have me going to the interview solo. I was very nervous, but they were so kind and they smile and told me it was OK (other than the front office clerk ... a little bitchy). The interview was for 10 minutes, asking about the Navy, how we met, how he purposed, how was the wedding.
We never submit any photo, so he asked if I had any on hand. My DH and I never take photo together but I had one photo in my waller from 3 years ago and I was 20 lighted and my DH still had hair then *laugh* ... the interviewer said "I need a photo of you and your husband" ... it took couple minutes for him to really believe that it was us :P Funny hah! Oh, I also showed him a bunch of photo on my cell phone....he said "oh well, that'll work".
Anyway, after we joke around, he told me... read complete review

Hi Everyone
Me and Becca had our AOS interview yesterday in Louisville KY.
We got there half an hour early for a 2.30 appointment and were told to sit in the waiting room until called. There was another couple sitting opposite us chatting away with their lawyer, I guess in the same situation as us - looking just as nervous. We had decided not to use our lawyer for the interview as he'd been fairly inept throughout the process. When we were finally called by the immigration officer, he seemed surprised the lawyer wasn't there. I guess because he had prepared the I864 for us. Oh well. Becca (petitioner) was called in first and I had to sit patiently for about 20 minutes. I got more and more nervous and by the time the guy came out to usher me into the office with Becca - I was a wreck. I grabbed Becca's hand and held tight - she later told me I was shaking like a leaf and couldnt stop licking my lips through lack of saliva! Anyway the questions were really ... read complete review
