Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

All went well. We were mostly asked about what was on our I-485 form, about our wedding, how we met & how we communicated during the time when we were living apart, we were also asked when we planned to get married. All in all, the interview went great. The immigration officer was really nice and put us both at ease at the beginning of the interview.

Comfortable office and very short wait time. Officer was kind and to the point. Overall a great experience, just make sure to arrive early as the security check in can take some time.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We went in for our interview first thing in the morning. Park across the street, there's an underground lot that's right across from the door. Also leave time to get through security to enter the building. Our officer asked for any photos we might have or other proof of our joined residence to add to our file. We gave her all the copies we had brought. Later we were called back to her office where she went over our documents clarifying questions and double checking statements. We were asked to wait 15 minutes and then she came back out and let us know that we had received instant approval. Literally the best day ever. She was trying very hard to be stern and somewhat scary but it was still very professional and well done.javascript:emoticon('')

Review Topic: Lifting Conditions

I went to the downtown LA office for an interview for my lifting conditions.

Cheapest close parking was a flat rate $8 parking on E Temple St. around the corner. LA mall is another close parking lot at $2.50 every 20 minutes, up to $16 max.

My appt was on a Monday afternoon. Reading previous reviews, it sounded like security line up is long, but it was about a 10 minute wait for me. Leave your sharps at home, and expect to be xrayed like at an airport. Electronics (cell phones/tablets) are okay but you need to shut them off when you do your appointment with the officer.

I arrived 1 hour early (expecting bad traffic, bad parking and long lines) and it turned going early wasn't in my flavor - they earliest they can check you in at is 15 minutes before your interview. The building is a freaking maze so we thought it was best to just wait in the waiting room.

Security guards were nice and immigration officer was pleasant. Our inte... read complete review
