Went in, past security (who had nothing better to do than quiz me on Ireland - what are the four provinces?? Jeez gimme a break as if I'm not nervous enough!) went in and put our letter in the box, and sat and waited. After about 30mins a stern looking guy came out and called us in.
We went into his office where he checked our I.d's and proceeded to ask a few questions, while checking them off the I-485, my names, date of birth, parents names etc, then asked all the check box questions.. Am I a terrorist etc?? After this he asked to see our marriage license, as he said it's missing from our file (huh??!? We def submitted it, as I was freakng out about having to wait on certified copies arriving!!!! So it seems they'd lost it-shocker) he then proceeded to ask us abouthe form I-130... where it was as he could t see it in the file, we responded saying we didn't file it as we didn't think we needed to on the K-1 visa.. He went away to ask about it we assume, he came back and... read complete review

The immigration officer was an old lady, she's SUPER nice. She asked a few simple questions and then gave her approval.

Our interview at the Kansas City office on 12/17/07 at 7:30am was fairly short. The officer had us come in, stay standing, say an oath, and then sit down. She asked for photo copies of a lot of the new support documents we brought. Overall it was fairly smooth but she did question why we reentered before the wedding using his student visa rather than a fiance visa. We explained that we had been advised to due so by legal counsel and she said that was wrong, which really scared us both! But she was fairly friendly in demeanor and seemed to say it wouldn't present a real problem, just that we should have done it but since he got in okay with his student visa oh well. Very unlike what we were expecting! When we left she said she would get to entering us in the computer sometime over the holiday break and that we should get a le... read complete review

Quick and easy! My appointment was for 2:00 p.m. and I arrived about 25 minutes early. They called me about 5 minutes after I arrived, the whole process took about 10 minutes, and I was out the door at 1:55 p.m.

The place was pretty crowded in the morning, we hardly see any opened seat. Our interview was pretty easy, only took 15 mins. The interviewer was really nice; she kept talking to you to help you from getting too nervous.
