Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our appointment was at 9:30. We arrived at 9. The security guard was the same one from when we went for the biometrics. He is really nice, and tells you how easy it will be, and not to worry. He instructed us to put the interview letter in a slot on the side of the wall.

We were called back in less than 5 minutes. The officer swore us in, and then asked for my husband's passport, EAD, State ID, and my driver's license. He was professional and pleasant. He asked my husband to verify his name and how it is spelled, and asked him what were the names of his parents. He then asked him if he had ever been through deportation from the US before, was ever part of a terrorist organization, or had ever been arrested. He then verified that our address and phone number were still the same as what they had on record for us.

He handed him the paper, that he already had pre-printed up with the current date, that said he was approved for permanent residency. He then expla... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Took my wife and stepson for their AOS interview this morning. We arrived 40 minutes early and allowed in. Security guards were very nice and we went thru security no problem once the jackets and belts came off. We were called in for the interview 10 minutes early and the three of us were greeted by the interviewer very friendly. We were asked to raise our right hand and swear the truth. My wife, from China, knows English but was slow with the answer. The interviewer asked us to interpet for her which her son did. My wife smiled and said in English she was nervous but did understand English.
Questions asked of us: Where and when did we meet. How many times did I go to China to visit her. After she arrived in the US did she meet my college age children. Did we have pictures of my wife, her son, and my children together. (We did). She also looked at a few wedding and honeymoon pictures. Asked my stepson how old was he and what school he attended. She then asked for copies of Joint... read complete review

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My daughter Pippo and I went for our biometrics appointment (darling husband Rick got off work to drive us), it was set at 10:00 a.m. Thought we were going to be late, we missed the turn from the exit ramp and went way past the street we should have turned into. :P

Arrived there at 9:30 a.m. Guard asked for our appointment letters and ID. He looked at Pippo's picture and at her and looked at me, said "Seems she's changed a lot in a couple of years, huh?" I said, "Actually, it was just last year. She lost a lot of weight." He also told us out front that we couldn't bring any food or drinks inside, even candy; we couldn't bring any perfume or any aerosol products like pepper spray and the like. Went back to the parking lot to leave my purse because I had coffee candy in it. lol If they caught you with any "contraband," they would confiscate it and it will not be returned.

Got inside, there was only us and an Indian couple in the waiting area. We eac... read complete review
