The interview was a breeze! Our officer was a really sweet lady who hit it off with my husband straight away. She's retired Air Force (24 yrs) and my husband is active duty, she said that they get alot of Navy through but never any Air Force so she gave him a high five lol. She asked us basic questions, how we met, have we met each others family and all of the yes/no questions on the i485 form. She then asked for some extra evidence, so I gave her a copy of our mortgage with both of our names on it, a copy of our car insurance and photos of both of us with each other families. All in all it took around 15 minutes max and we left with an approval! Around an hour later we recieved our txt updates for our i485 card/document production and then another hour later we got the update that my tourist status had then been updated to Permanant Resident. It was very anti-climatic thank fully!

Everyone was very friendly and professional. They seem to be aware of how anxious and stressed people can be and make efforts to not add onto that with a bad attitude, which is very much appreciated. Couldn't have had a better experience!

Really great office! The appointments run very close to their scheduled time and everyone is very warm and welcoming.

Our appointment was at 10am, but we arrived at 9:30am. Security was normal. There were a lot of people waiting, but our IO came out at 9:45am to kindly let us know that normally she'd see us early, but she had a meeting so we'd have to wait until 10:00am. She came back at 10:20am (we were fine with waiting), and led us to her office.
The interview was totally painless and worry-free. She asked for proof of marriage, reviewed what we had already submitted, and was happy to see we had brought additional proof with us (more photos, joint car insurance, and a joint bank account). She looked through the new photos, and took several of them and kept them in the file.
She quickly approved the I-130, and shortly thereafter the I-485. We also were concerned because we hadn't used my wife's new name on the forms (we used her maiden name). She kindly offered to change the name then and there, thus saving us the hassle and ~$450 cost of changing the name on the green ... read complete review
