Adjustment of status interview went smoothly. We waited about 30 minutes. The gentleman interviewing us was very nice. We brought some joint bank and credit card statements to demonstrate our continuing relationship which he took for his file. We also brought a number of photos which he wasn't interested in. The interview itself was brief, maybe 20 minutes. He asked how/when we met and a few other questions. I think our application was reasonably thorough and not a lot about our relationship would arouse suspicion.

The lady that interviewed us was so stern and she did not look pleased one bit. The only personal question we got was "how did you meet?". The rest was documentation and asking for evidence of our marriage and us living together. My name was entered wrongly on their system and it wasn't checked through by them or asked if it was the right name although all my forms and even Employment Authorization Card was the right name. So double check with them if the name is correct especially if your name doesn't have a prominent first, middle and last name. javascript:emoticon('') So now we have to go through the process of changing the name on the card with the I-90 and wait another 8 months for one simple mistake. Quite disappointed.

My Naturalization interview was on June 6 at 10.45 am. I arrived earlier and there was around 3 other people waiting. The IO called my name and walked to her office. She was very professional during the interview which lasted 5 minutes.
Before sitting down, she asked me to hold my right arm up and swore to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. I did and then we sat down.
I applied under the 3 year rule but I was also eligible for the 5 year rule. She advised we would continue with the 5 year rule as it was faster. She went over the questions on my application to which I needed to answer. Then she went on to ask me the civic questions, the reading and writing test. She congratulated me and said I was approved. She said Oath Ceremonies usually take 2 months to be scheduled but they had one this friday and asked if I wanted to be included in it. Yes! javascript:emoticon('')javascript:emoticon('')
Overall, great experience... read complete review
