I was given an appointment in Jacksonville even though my local office is Orlando- maybe they're too busy at the moment or something. Who knows. I was one of the first in the office- our appointment was for 8am (on August 1st).
We must have waited about three-quarters of an hour or so (though we arrived the full 45 minutes early). We were taken off to an interview room where a nice man (whose name I've forgotten) treated the whole thing as if it was just a formality- he ran through some standard questions (checking where we lived, dates of birth etc) and asked if I was a terrorist or communist and that was about it. He took my work permit card off me, stamped my passport and told me I'd get the green card in the mail. Though I don't think he called it that. He also said how we have to file the I-751 in two years' time to remove the conditions of the permanent resident card I'll be getting (since we were only recently married you don't get the ten year one immediately). Hi fellow Feb filers! We had our interview today at Jacksonville, FL and I'm glad to share the good news that I've been granted conditional permanent resident status! Yippeee! Let me share some of the highlights of the interview:
- We arrived 15mins before our appointment (ie, 12:30pm). We went through the x-ray security system (had our belts removed, cellphones turned off).
- We were called in exactly at 12:30. We assume the IO is in his early 50's, and is a pleasant man.
- He swore us in to tell the truth, and as soon as we all sat down, he asked for our passports. While he was looking at my Philippine passport, he said he too is married to a Filipina for 21 years. That really made us feel more relaxed specially as he went on to say that he's been to Singapore too on many occasions. We talked a bit about Singapore, asked me if I liked it there (I used to live in Singapore before I met my USC husband). It was more like a very relaxed conversation more tha... read complete review

Security dude was rude as hell. Jerk with a badge.
Adjudicator was fantastic. I think his name was Henry. Very connected with our case and personable. Only verified previously submitted info. Did not require any further info from my AOS package I had labored to provide but did offer me the opportunity to show him just so I would not feel it was all in vain. I declined and shook his hand and thanked him. In & out of his office in 10 minutes. Waiting room maybe 1/2 hour.
If not for the security I would give the visit a 5.

The interview was at 10am, and we arrived at about 9.30am. In Jacksonville, when you enter everyone just sits in a large waiting area and they call people for biometrics and interviews from there into rooms leading off. We saw a few other couples with less stuff then we had - we had a black plastic folder with all the documents in and a big photo album with cards and photos in (almost full). We saw several AO's walk by and another couple leave happily. At about 9.50 we were called in, and it was a good start as it was the most friendly-looking of the AO's we had seen, so we were happy to have her as our AO. She took us into her cubicle and we swore to tell the truth before we sat down. There was a big video camera at the back of the room, pointing at us, but otherwise it was just like an office. The AO was professional but very nice and friendly, and put us at ease.
First, she asked to see our ID (driving licence for J, EAD for me) and then our birth certificates. We had... read complete review
