She took us to her office and asked us to take an oath. Then she asked me for evidence to show that we were married and living together. So I gave her a copy of our apartment lease, joint checking a/c, joint savings a/c and Life Insurance. She returned some of the documents that I had mailed in with the original application saying that they were extra and that she didnt need them. She asked my husband to tell my DOB and asked him if he did anything special since my birthday was a few days ago. She then asked me to tell her my husband's DOB and Place of Birth. She then asked my husband how he became a citizen and he told her "... through family since his grandfather was born here". She then wanted to know if he had sponsered anyone else before for a green card.. She then wanted to look at our wedding album and she loved it... So she called another immigration officer and they both were ooohing & aaahing over our album. She then stamped my passport, took out my I-94 and EAD.

Got in the office early, had copies of all paperwork in hand. We got called back to the office, chatted about the weather, the fact that I was pregnant with twins!! and a couple of things in general. We had two binders full of information for the officer but she said no problem, asked a couple of basics and said we were approved. Total time was approximately 20 min! She said we had more paper and documentation than most people and that she would love to have other cases with so much info in hand. We were GREATLY relieved!

Appointment was for 8 am. We arrived at 7.30 and we were called at 7.45. The woman was very nice. She asked Gaby what was her name, address, phone number, and some questions from the forms we sent in. She wanted to see proof that we were living together. Then she told us that she would send us her final decision as there are two files (on Gaby) that need to be combined. She did say that it looks very good. We were finished by 8.00.
