AOS interview conducted on 09/08/2025, we were probably one of the first interviews of the day. Get in without waiting at all and checked in at front desk very quickly after getting through security (security was very nice to us as well). After check in biometrics were confirmed and we waited a short time for our interview. Interview went very smoothly. We were asked normal relevant questions about our relationship, how we met, courted. Very few documents were asked for. We did share the contract for our home we had recently bought and bank documents with both names as well as some utilities. Interview ended in an approval.

The lady officer was really nice for our i-485 interview. My husband and I both came in at the same time. She said my i-130 was already approved so she just asked me how we met, when we got married then reviewed my education to see if I was out of status which I was not. Then she asked to see some photos of us. She said she got enough info and we would hear from them in the next two days. But then we got the notification that my green card was being produced. The lady officer was so nice and straight to the point.

Original interview 8/8/24 - trainee agent, no decision.
Second interview 12/6/24 - more experienced agent, admitted the first interview had not been conducted correctly, sent husband to wait while she interviewed me (the citizen) and then brought him back in and asked him the same questions. Approved my I-131 on the spot, but had a document request before she would approve his AOS. We sent in the document she wanted - which we had already given the previous interviewer, who apparently lost it - and the approval notification came on 1/16. Green card arrived 2/25, with a date of 1/15 on it.
All in all, the experience was not stressful, the interviewing agent (second one) was friendly and hospitable, felt like she was working with us to get the process done rather than facing off against us, which was the sense we had from the original interviewer. Both were professional but the second one was much more human than the first one had been.

Houston! Great experience! Everyone friendly including security. The lady officer was very nice. Had a pending I-751 but nothing was asked about it. The test was quick and easy. Asked very few questions, maybe because I gave them plenty of documents online.
