I just thought I should update you all that the Honolulu Field Office doesn't necessarily complete AOS interviews in under 20 minutes. It isn't always a cakewalk. Today, I had my AOS marriage based interview and the experience was a little different from the previous reviews (below) for the Honolulu Field Office.
My husband and I got there about 15 minutes early. We checked in, sat and waited for our appointment but it turned out that the office was backed up for the day.
Our officer was very professional and serious. We took an oath. Then straight up, she asked for all supporting documentation proving co-mingling of assets (joint bank account, joint credit cards, joint home ownership and / or joint rental agreement, health insurance, utility bill). Arrived about 15 minutes early just in case - waited around 45 minutes. Interview itself was relaxed, easy - officer was very friendly - we have twin infants and had all our docs in order. Received approval notice dated the day after the interview - green card to follow!

hi i am so happy with the Honolulu Local USCIS Office they are so nice and helpful my wife got her citizen with so easy procedures. Nothing critical in interview of in ceremony but we get a REF related to our marriage before and they cancel and reschedule our interview one time but all great and successful

Aloha,
I wanted to share my experience, as it may be helpful to others that go to the USCIS in Honolulu. Especially those from inner-islands.
***FYI: This was my ROC BIO appt. However, some of this information may be useful for other USCIS visits***
#1) The BIO appt letter says NO CELL PHONES.... I went to my appointment early to ask about this, and the guard said, "oh that's okay, just turn it off, don't use it when your in the room.
#2) Going earlier to your appointment: Honolulu USCIS said, YES ... as long as you have your letter, you can go early. Even DAYS earlier! However, they can't guarantee you'll get in, as it may be busy.
#3) From another island? Take THE BUS!: I'm a huge fan of public transportation, and THE BUS was great. For $2.50, I rode one bus (#20 or #19) from the airport to the USCIS building! It took a 1/2 hr. Of course, riders beware, always always give yourself plenty of time... read complete review
