Short review:
It was a short (1/2 hour maybe), simple and low-stress ceremony. We said the Oath and the Pledge of Allegiance and sung the star spangled banner (not necessarily in that order).

We had a welcome video from the president and listened to the song "Proud to be an American".

It was a good day. Glad to be done

Review Topic: Walk-in Filing

Did my appointment the day BEFORE my scheduled appt. Left home @ 5:30 am for the 2.5 hr drive, got there at 8 when office opened. Didn't have to show security my paperwork. They asked if I knew where to find office I had to be at. Told him Biometrics and he pointed me to the right direction.

There were about seven 8 o'clock appointments that showed up right after. At check in office, I handed the rep my paperwork. Didn't say anything about why I'm here early. Rather, I waited for him to ask the question. He didn't. He only asked if i'd mind waiting for the appointments to get done first. Totally understandable and expected. I was super grateful that I wouldn't be turned away. The wait was for about 35 mins. approximately. The biometrics lady was super friendly and talkative. Very friendly atmosphere, smooth process. In all, I got done by about 9 am.

Things to remember:
1. Walk with quarters for parking, or with someone who wouldn't mind waiting in... read complete review

Took us 10 minutes. Were told we were going to receive an RFE to proof income during the time overstayed.

Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

In two words our interview went very good. The officer was a nice young lady, professional and pleasant. Originally she was from Poland, came to US with her parents when she was 5 years old. She made us feel comfortable from the beginning. Asked for originals of all the required documents. I gave her all originals along with one set of copies and translations. In the end she kept the copies and gave all originals back to us. She took I-94 form from my husband\'s passport and commented on how old it was. He overstayed for 10 years, so yes, old While looking through our photo album she was asking questions like how we met, when got engaged, married, prior marriages, kids. She asked me if I met my husband\'s sons, and I said no since we didn\'t have chance to go to Mexico yet, but we are friends on a Facebook. She also asked my husband if he left US to go to Mexico during his overstay, and he said no. She also commented on my husband being close to my daughter (we had a... read complete review

Walk-in Biometrics for AOS/EAD

Original appointment was for March 28th, but decided to try to walk-in on March 4th. Arrived at 9:25 AM. **Despite letter saying it was room 949, it's actually room 101 on the 1st floor** Went up to the security guard and gave him the appointment letter and passport. He went to stamp the letter and stopped then asked why we were coming in almost one month early. Told him to get it over with and thought we would see if we could get it done now. He said he had to check with the lady in the back first. He was very nice. He went to speak to her and came back and told us that she would go ahead and do it since no one else was there. He said that they used to allow walk-ins, but are more strict now with them.

He gave my husband the paper to fill out and he brought it back up, gave it to the lady and she called him over. Took fingerprints of all his fingers twice then his photo. Said that his EAD would arrive soon, but she couldn't... read complete review
