Interview Experience in Irving Texas
I had my AOS interview on 16th June at the Dallas Field Office in Irving Texas. The interview was scheduled for 7am with my wife (USC) having to work overnight the day before. However her office is just two miles from the USCIS Field Office so I was able to pick her up from work and still get to the interview at 6.45 am giving us 15 minutes to spare.
We entered the USCIS building at 6.55am, went through security and were upstairs to by 7am. Our notice was taken and given a buzzer which would vibrate when our interviewer comes to get us. We buzzed at 7.15am and our interviewer who was an elderly man (approximately mid to late fifties) told us to follow him into his office. We had our baby with us and I was hoping she wouldn’t fuss from being in a car seat for the duration of the interview as she absolutely dislikes the car seat unless the car is in motion. She however went to sleep about a minute into the interview. Guess she found it... read complete review

Our interview was scheduled for 7:30am we arrived at 7:10am, checked in and we were given a buzzer that would go off when it was our turn. We waited for over an hour and finally it was our turn. The officer was and old guy and he didn't seem too friendly at first but later he opened up and laughed with us.
He asked for my passport and and drivers licence(my husband is the USC) and he asked for only my husbands license. He went through my passport and commented that I was still legal. Then he confirmed everything on my application such as date of birth and my parents names. Then he asked if we live together and I said not completely because my job allows me to work on rotation 2wks on and 1wk off.So I go home during my days off. He seemed a bit put off but he understood. Then he asked for leases, joint accounts etc and then he said he would approve us! He told us that I could get a stamp on my passport so I can travel before I receive my gc in the mail! And we went to ge... read complete review

Our interview time was 1015 in Irving. This office apparently opened in January. Seemed nice and clean, had heard that the last one wasn't so much. We got there about 45 minutes early. We were told we could come in and wait, even though they weren't supposed to let us in more than 30 minutes early. The huge waiting room was very full. We gave our paper to the lady at the desk and got one of those restaurant buzzers. We waited, VERY anxiously, until about an hour after our appointment time, 1115. We went up to the desk, and a young man came out and got us, and walked us to his office. He told us to make ourselves comfortable, and explained how the interview would go: first, confirm that all the info we submitted was correct, and second, that we were elligible to adjust status.
He asked us both a few questions about where we were from and stuff like that. He read from our submitted paperwork, and did a lot of check-marking. He told us that the I-130 was all fine, no prob... read complete review

Our appointment was at 9:30pm at the Irving, TX office. We arrived with our lawyer at 9:20am and the office was really full.
We got one of the "restaurant" buzzers and sat down to wait. About 20min later someone called my name.
The officer was a white male on his mid thirties. He sworn us in and asked us to sit.
He calmly explained all that he was going to do:
Part 1 - go through the application
Part 2 - talk about the relationship
Asked if we had any question, we said no and he started stating the information on the application as I confirmed it was correct. (full name, address, country and place of birth, parents names, wife's name etc)
He only went through the first few pages and jumped to the Affidavit of Support. Confirmed a bit of information and then said all looked good.
He looked at the evidence we had initially submitted: bills, affidavits from friends, pictures, etc.
He seemed to be measuring us every tim... read complete review

our interview was scheduled at 9:30 am on April 23, 2009... we got there at almost 9:00 and there were so many ppl ahead of us... we got in there with so many things in our hands including albums containing pics, our wedding card, tax returns, joint bank statements, credit cards, energy bill and so many other things..... the officer sitting at the desk took our appointment letter and gave us pager.... we sat down waiting to get the call........ everyone else was so tensed and confused as what is gonna happen at their interview.... me and my husband were so relaxed that we were making jokes of certain happenings over there... everyone's pager was vibrating when they were called even if they came after us.. but our pager was not vibrating so we were laughing as if it works or not suddenly it started vibrating so we went inside with the immigration officer..... soon after getting inside the appropriate room...... the officer asked us to give her our photo identity, EAD, SS.... then she lo... read complete review
