Topic : Biometrics
We had our biometrics at 8 a.m. in the morning this week. Mapinfo gave a good direction. We reached the Federal building at 7.30 . Had a public parking in the opposite building. Just crossed the road and entered the Federal building. Security officers were very friendly. Obviously had to weait as they dnt open the doors, not even a minute before 8.After entering they called me with my id( passport) and the original biometrics letter. Do not take Photocopies .... if you do they get pissed at that.
Then they wanted to see my both hands and gave me a form. The officer clearly explained what to write and where. Its pretty easy. Case numbers, height, race, sex, hair and eye color, Father`s first name & mother`s 1st name , address in usa, uscis A# number & social security number( if any). The officer took my photograph and fingerprints twice for each fingers. Total ten fingers. Then he said i am done. Stamped and signed on my biometrics letter and gav... read complete review

Had our biometrics appointment yesterday at 8 am in Cincinnati. The office was at the Federal Building on Main Street, so there were metal detectors to go through. (Fun, fun!) We found a parking garage a couple blocks away on the corner of Main and third. Not too far of a walk, but it ended up costing us $8 to park there.
The building doesn't open until 7:30, so we had to wait outside for a few minutes. At least the weather was nice.
The fingerprint office is on the first floor, just down a hallway to the right past the elevators. There's a sign on the ceiling that says "fingerprints." But they refused to let anyone in until 8 am on the dot (Yeah for beurocracy!) So we had to wait outside...Again.
And then wait some more inside the office...Thankfully we were one of the first ones there. A lot more people showed up not too long after we did, so the waiting room was quite full.
We had to ... read complete review

AOS interview. Scheduled for 8:30, arrived 15 min. prior, were the first ones in the waiting area. Two other couples showed up, one for 8:30, one for 9:00. At about 8:35, the first couple got called and about two minutes later, we were up. We were finished before 8:50.
In the interview, we were sworn in, and the officer asked my wife her address, birthdate, and a few of the questions from the packet(Are you a criminal, prostitute, drug dealer, communist, terrorist, etc.?) then asked us both if we had any previous marriages, kids, how long we've known each other, etc. When she asked "when were you married?" I goofed-up and said the wrong date. (If that doesn't prove a real relationship, I don't know what does!)She asked about how we first met and what the circumstances were, etc. The only real "evidence" she asked for was "anything that's changed since your submission or anything you'd like to add to the packet." We gave a few photos from our wedding and a copy of our re... read complete review

We just had our interview today at 9:00am in Cincinnati. The immigration officer was a nice, professional and polite lady named Amanda. The interview was pretty fast, only 15 mins. She asked me my name and birth date,my parents names, and where and when we met and how many times, then she asked my husband his name and birth date. Then she asked us about the proof and then looked at my husbands pay stubs, she didnt ask me about the letters or pictures, just fliped through the income tax return we filed together from 2006,medical and life insurance, credit cards and joined bank accounts. She looked at my background check and it was done. She said we are aproved and ordered the green card.It should take about 2 weeks.
