Overall our green card interview went super well. We showed up at 12:00 for a 12:30 interview -- we were both called back right at 12:30. If anyone is wondering (I have seen a few forums asking about it) we wore nice but casual clothes. I wore nice jeans, button up, and sweater. Our interviewer was an immigrant himself, I don't know if that gives some extra empathy but it seemed so. He was very nice and was deliberate with his questions but didn't seem like he was trying to pin us down with a bad response or anything.
Some of the questions he asked:
- Seems usual questions from the I-485 app: confirm name, DOB, residence, not involved in terrorist or criminal activity, etc.
- We did need to explain that my wife is staying with my parents until our religious wedding back in her home country in January, and we brought evidence. He seemed to believe us entirely and we had no problems there.
- What documents we had for evidence of our relationship (... read complete review

I did remember the wrong date of a biometric service appointment and found out later on.
(It should be on 10/5/2017 but I remembered wrong to 10/10/2017)
I searched for the solution online. Many reckon that you can just walk in and the officer will give you all process in just 15 minutes.
One great suggestion wrote that she went through the USCIS website and made INFOPASS online. I thought it was a great idea.
So I made an appointment the next day at 10 AM.
It's on the 4 floor at USCIS building. I couldn't remember the room number but my husband told me that he was once here on his interview for Naturalization.
I saw many couples were waiting for their turn.
Only officer was sitting at the window 2 (They actually got 3 windows). He kept directly telling the new coming that please leave their interview appointment on the tray at window 3.
We did and waited.
After 10 AM, I saw he was bringing my appointment request near his ... read complete review

The visit was to take my biometrics for the AOS process.
We started the day with a drive down from Dayton to Cincinnati, which is a smooth enough drive if you hit the traffic right. We found the CIS Office, the closest parking is directly across the street from them, but it'll sting you for at least $8 (ouch!). There are other parking spots nearby that are a little less expensive, but they aren't in the most obvious of places, and you'll be walking for a little while.
Anyway, we made it to the office. The security staff were polite and professional, they even shared a joke with us, which definitely brightened my day. Went straight down the hall to the room where the biometrics were taken. There wasn't much of a queue by my reckoning, but the staff member seemed to be stressing about the supposed "high numbers" for that day. His attitude was a little passive-aggressive, perhaps bordering on rude, but if things were as busy as he was saying then it's underst... read complete review

This CIS office is filled with wonderful, helpful and and nice people! My husband and I went in for our AOS interview, and our officer made jokes with us and made us feel comfortable during the interview. We waited for an hour and a bit in the waiting room, but once we got called back, I'm not joking; we were only in his office for 15 minutes. Of that 15 minutes, half was spent on him trying to get the camera to work! He asked my husband his Name/Birth/Parents info, and then My Name/Birth information.. After that he said "who lives with you?" My husband told him that we lived with my mother, my sister and nephew, (My mother is currently a co-sponsor for him) and he made sure we had enough income for a 5 person home.. (We did.) And then asked my husband if he had a medical done, to which my husband said "Yes in London, and then a civil surgeon signed off once he arrived to the US." .. And literally right after that he handed us the paper that said we were recommended for approval, and t... read complete review

Hello all,
Wanted to post my interview experience today at Cincinnati. I applied based on 5 year permanent residency and got my Permanent residency through marriage with an USC. I reached there about 10 mins before interview. there were some road constructions. I has to wait to for about 20-25 minutes after checking in but they were backed up a little and I needed a little rest to myself too  . The IO was very down to earth and asked me to put my belongings down as he put me to a oath. After checking my Green card and passport , He asked me these as follows :
a)my Name
b) My date of birth
c) My address
d) my phone number
e) about if I have any children
f) went fast through the several YES or NO questions making me answer
g) asked a little about my employment, my wife`s profession and if I had any children.
He was very sure ab... read complete review
