Our interview experience couldn't have been better! We were seen right away, and the questions were super easy. It was almost as if they had already approved us, and just wanted to make sure we were the right couple! It was great....and we are so glad that it's over!

Our Chula Vista interview was very easy and pleasant - had to show my husband's W2s from the last 2 yrs and federal tax returns, pictures and joint bank accounts. Asked where we met and a few specific questions about the city where we met and used to live - don't know if that was a trick or if he had really lived there. Overall - a very, very nice interview.

Our interview was more like a friendly chat. The officer looked at our photos, asked how we met, and asked for a few pieces of mail--he only took three, even though we had lots more. The officer also explained "lifting of conditions". He was very personable and even joked with us about "getting a bargain" because the prices for K-1 and AOS are going up soon.

We arrived at 10:30am, the appoitnment was at 11am and we went to the interview at 11 exactly. Interview took 20 minutes. The immigration officer (a lady) asked how we met and what we have in common and if my family had let me live overseas easily. My name was not checked yet by FBI so I will have to wait before I can receive the green card. It went really smoothly and the immigration officer was very courteous.

Had our AOS interview on 1/18/07. Had to wait about 1 hour past our appointment time (not because they were busy, not sure why).
Finally got called back and I had a huge box of evidence. Interview went over application with my wife, "what's your name, fathers, mothers name, DOB, address in US", etc. They she asked all the questions on the last page of the I-485, "are you a terrorist, communist, etc". Then stamped her passport with I-551 stamp and had us sign paper about lifting conditions, said Green Card should arrive in 2-3 weeks.
That was it, she didn't ask for a single piece of evidence from me and didn't even confiscate my wife's AP or EAD or I-94 documents! We were in her office maybe 5 minutes.
