Before the interview, you will have to pass through security. The security officers were a bit grumpy, but that's not really unusual. You're instructed to take off your shoes, empty your pockets, etc. It's just like TSA at the airport - but much quicker and easier. We were both through in all of three minutes. The office itself is very nice, nothing like other government facilities we're all familiar with like social security offices or DMVs. It's well lit, ample amounts of seating, and quite a pleasant space to be in! You then move on to the check in desk. The lady working there was very kind and professional, she simply scanned our interview notice and then instructed my husband to scan his index fingers and take a photo. Also very quick and easy, painless and hassle-free. We were finally sat down and waiting about 20 minutes before our interview time, and called back about 15 minutes after our interview time. We took the elevator to the second floor, and waited for all of 30 seconds... read complete review

IO grilled me on a traffic citation I had gotten 6-7 years on a student visa because I had been stopped by a traffic popo. IO was jsut having fun with me cuz he knew our case was true and nothing to doubt about it. So he grilled me and had fun with me. My wife said we should be fine whereas I was kinda over thinking. Overall it was fine process. Reached 40mins before interview date and was called in after 10-15mins and done in 20 or so odd Minutes. I’m a beneficiary and now a permanent resident

So today we had our interview in Charlotte. Got there super early for an 8 am appointment. Got called back at 8:05 and out the door by 8:30. A lot of form questions, not really that many about our relationship besides identifying locations and times of pictures we submitted. The agent was pretty friendly and even made a joke or two during the process which helped alleviate stress. In the end he didn't guarantee approval but said it was highly likely in the next week once it gets signed off by the supervisor. I know CLT is understaffed from friends who recently has interviews and were told similar things. So waiting with baited breath for the status to change on the web/app, or a letter to come saying approved, or even better the Green Card coming in the mail.

We had our Adjustment of Status interview on September 24th
The IO called our token number and guided us to her office room. We took an oath and were instructed to only answer if questioned, and not answer for each other.
She first us asked the standard questions related to the application.
She then asked me to talk about our wedding (how many people, where, when, etc) and took a brief look at our wedding album.
She then asked my husband to talk about how we met and started dating.
She asked me how we communicate during the day (we text each other while we're at work) and what the last thing we texted each other was (i told her it was probably him asking me what time I was leaving work), after which she asked to see our text exchange on my phone.
She asked me about where we live, and if own or rent the property (we own our home), so she asked for the deed.
I handed over the deed and other supporting documents to add to our file (utility... read complete review
