The officer we met with was quick, efficient and nice. Everything went smoothly, I have no complaints. It was probably a good think we brought a third party interpreter to not let him blink an eye and just proceed with out questions.

The I-485/AOS interview only took about 15 mins. Quick and simple, as they only asked us a few questions and then we showed them our evidence. Ant was approved and the passport was stamped. The Green Card (though actually creamy white coloured, not green coloured) arrived by USPS the next week. And yes, it helped to have a good immigration lawyer in dealing with our case too.

The interview was surprisingly quick & easy. We arrived half an hour early, and our interview was exactly when it was scheduled to be. The IO was pleasant and relaxed, which calmed our nerves quite a bit. He had us swear in & show our ID, then asked us for our address, DOBs and SSNs. He then asked for our daughter's birth certificate, asked "who is [our joint sponsor]?", and looked at our other evidence (utilities and bank account in both names, lease, wedding photos) very briefly. He laughed over how much extra evidence our joint sponsor sent (it was practically a book) and then said "I'm going to approve you today".

First off I adjusted from a B2 Visa. I arrived in November 2008 and was supposed to return to Australia in Feb, however, I changed my plane ticket to leave in May. I was married in April 5 months after I entered the U.S. and I had NO intentions of remaining in the U.S. when I arrived.
Anyhow, My interview appointment was at 2.15pm I arrived at about 2.05pm signed in and then went to the appropriate waiting room which was empty. A few people came out of the offices very happy so that made me a little more comfortable lol I'm not exactly sure what time we were called in I think it was about 2.25pm when a lady came out and called us in. She had us stand and swear we would tell the truth then we sat and she went through sme of the papers she already had then asked if I came in on a B2 Visa in November I said yes. THen she asked if I had any problems with immigration or police before I said no. She asked to see our photo album and while she was looking she asked how we met. S... read complete review

The interviewer was a nice man.... he asked us the basic questions about our life together... He spoke briefly to us both...inofrmed us that the interview would be taped, then he spoke each of us separately. He questioned my husband first (less than 10 min). After he was satisfied with my answers and the proof I presented him, he told me he was granting Rachid a conditional GC- effective that day. I didn't feel intimidated or nervous during the interview because the interviewer was down to earth and personable.
