CIS office :Lawrence MA, interview was smooth, just review of AOS application and the yes/no question. The the interviewer asked if we had additional documentation, we provided joint bank statements, 401 k with beneficiary allotment.interviewer also asked if the AOS applicant was working; presented job letter. Was approved on spot.never asked much questions.

My wife (USC) was called in first, and was asked about my tattoos (how many, where are they), where we met, out kids, whether I smoked, when we got married, and about the ceremony, when we first met in person. But the majority of their questions to her was just confirming her own identity.
Mine was quite similar; First they asked me all the questions about terrorism, drugs etc. Then they asked me how many tattoos my wife has, and where they were. Whether she smoked, and about our joint kids.
He didn't ask for any documents, including the originals of our birth certificates, marriage certificate etc. But he did ask if I had a photo album to show him, which I did.
He them immediately told me I was approved, took my EAD card from me, and told me my green card would be with me "soon"
All in all, we was there for under an hour; most of that hour was spent waiting; My wives interview was less than 5 minutes, and mine was less than 1... read complete review

Interview went really smoothly. They called us in separately as per usual and asked questions about our relationship. As long as you have a true relationship this should be really easy and there is no way to go wrong. The office who conducted our interview was extremely polite and professional, I have nothing but praise for everyone in the Boston office in regards to the way we were treated. I hope the best of luck to everyone else, God bless!

We had our interview on April 13 in Boston, the IO was very very young. He first took my husband to his office and interviewed him for 10 minutes. He asked very basic questions and then he brought me in and asked some of those questions that he had asked my husband. It took 2-3 minutes. And then he said the decision will be mailed to us in 30-60 days. He didn't take my I94 or EAD card and he didn't stamp my passport. He didn't even ask for any additional documents but we gave him our very recent tax document filed jointly... I'm very confused, our interview was very demoralizing...
