Our interview was at 8am. We arrived at 7:40 went thru security and handed in our inteview notice. There was one couple in front of us, they were called back first and shortly after we were called back for our interview.

Our interviewer was a young man maybe late 20's early 30's very nice. He almost seemed more nervous than we were We took the pledge then sat down to begine the interview. He went over the I485 application and asked us to verify the information then he asked four questions.

1. Have you ever been involved in terrorism or commited any terrorist acts? No
2. Have you ever commited or participated in mass genocide? No
3. Have you ever been affiliated or a member of the communist party? No
4. Have you ever knowingly commited any crime of moral turpitude for which you have not been arrested? No

Today we had our interview for adjustment of immigrant status to a probational green card. Deysi and I had heard so many horror stories that of course we had some grounds for our concern. The morning started off by getting up 50 minutes later then we had planned giving us 40 minutes to bathe, dress and drive across town to our 8:30 AM appointment. We made it at 8:29 AM.

The interview was conducted by a real nice gentleman who really did nothing more than swear us in, check identification and ask a few pertinent questions like name and address. Basically he shuffled paperwork, condensed files and answered our questions. He gave us recommendations for our final round of paperwork and interview in July of 2008. He just handled the whole thing with the three of us in the room in a truly professional manner. It was just about the easiest part of the whole process.
