Very straightforward. Officer just asked 2 questions and we were out there within 15 minutes. He said our case was easy and gave me the approval letter and started explaining documents to send in for the i-751. To God be the Glory! My husband and I sat in the driveway and prayed together before we walked into the building.

My husband (who is the applicant) and I had to take my 2.5 yr old daughter to the interview with us due to the time it was scheduled. The interviewer was a bit unprofessional but gave us a relatively easy interview. She said our file was out of order and that seemed to throw her off in the beginning. She would not let me translate any of the questions for him (I expected that but thought I would ask just in case). I can't remember the exact questions but she wanted to know some dates (I believe the date we got married) and where did we meet. I brought a ton of documents to prove that we live together and have accounts together and so forth and she didn't ask for anything! Maybe because we have a child together they figure they can go a little easier on us? I am not complaining!

She told us he would be conditionally approved since we were married for less than 2 years and that means we will have to submit some document for permanent status in 2 years. She gave us info on... read complete review

We arrived an hour early and had to waited until the appointed time (30 minutes prior to interview) to check in. We brought two bags of documents and a photo album as well as the sealed medical. I brought too many documents. It was better to be prepared then not. Many people came without attorney and a few had attorney's. Several were reviewing their documents. While we waited we talked and joked with each other.

Our interviewer was very nice. She had our complete file which included the approved I-130 with supporting documents.
After we were sworn in, she asked for identifying documents and if we had any additional evidence to submit. While I pulled the documents and identity documents she reviewed our file and took my husband's biometrics. She reviewed the questions on his I-485 with him and asked a series of questions that she took notes on.
